  1. Giga coaster would be the only way I'd see them successfully announcing the closure of tower. It needs to be tall and fast when it comes to a replacement. A hyper-coaster would have people comparing it to rivals.
  2. The covered seating area that's replacing wipeout?
  3. Is this person an author with best selling books and TV shows? RL Stine as mentioned above does fit all the criteria thus far and seems likely. The 50 million thing has me unsure about Paul Jennings.
  4. Welcome back @aussienetman! Could it be this guy? https://www.supanova.com.au/guests/toby-stephens/ Nothing said the visitor is going to be there permanently. Would also fit the lazy/cheap (Ardent) way to go about getting someone to the park and con them into visiting when they are already in the area.
  5. Because unlike the train buses won't take you to the airport and places that are better than Melbourne?
  6. I'll be sure to remember this when I think about taking a ferry to Sea World in the future!
  7. You can build it underground if you want it but a change in height doesn't fix a boring figure 8 layout. Jet Rescue feels faster because it keeps its speed up and has fast transitions in its turns. It isn't slowly navigating a figure 8.
  8. Motocoaster is like Pony Express at Knott's however Pony is over much quicker and doesn't have stupidly designed restraints due to a stupid gimmick train. A Lime scooter is more fun than motocoaster!
  9. So they have taken their usual land based shows and swapped bikes for whatever water craft they have been trained on? Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.
  10. They're too busy renovating stadiums that don't need it.
  11. Guessing it won't be open by Sunday/Monday 😂
  12. Say all you want about coasters but if it wasn't for adding The Great American Scream Machine two years after a death from another coaster we wouldn't have Six Flags Great Adventure. They are a proven way to draw people back to a park after a major incident. Having someone run the park who has a clue as to what the fuck they are doing also helps things.
  13. The pathetic replacement ride sign and turned off fountain as you enter the ride queue really sets the tone for what they have done.
  14. This isn't a movie where you can see it through alternative methods instead of waiting for a cash grab period, if it is ready now open it or soft open it for a week or two now. Delaying it would be the absolute last thing I would consider especially given the lateness of it already.
  15. Actually it isn't, looks good but it is over quicker than a virgins first time. By the time it starts becoming fun it's over and returns to the ground.
  16. I would say a star flyer would fit well in that spot but that would spoil the main sell point of the rivals climb.
  17. Quite a few years ago I heard 130km/h in an interview for some kids show that was being recorded when I was in the park. Wouldn't be surprised if it is less now.
  18. It's clearly Harry Potter that is being referenced!
  19. Think that is their plan, an attraction like this then another ride.
  20. It's a shame it is the only option these days. Maybe someone could come up with their own poll, with blackjack and hookers!
  21. Honestly don't get why the parks don't offer a yearly sipper bottle. A new one each time severely defeats the purpose of getting one in the first place.
  22. Steel Venegance and Maverick are the two to do first, both easily get queues of over a hour. I had a platinum pass which got me 1hr early access and a free Fast Lane upgrade. If it is within your budget I highly suggest the pass for these two perks as when you do get let into the park those two rides will be already at 40-60 minutes. Use the water park entrance as it is the closest to those two rides. Top Thrill Dragster, first signs of it testing get in queue. Transport to and from I can't comment as I had a hire car. Accommodation there are a fair few options around 5-10 minutes from the park.
