DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion
rappa replied to Richard's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I just find the concept of judging rides from a YouTube video to be hilarious. Also sounds like you may have never ridden a hyper coaster before. Perhaps we should all wait for the ride to be actually finished and then ride it? Then form an opinion? -
Dreamworld Lego Store construction

I'm sure it's amazing for those of you that love that stuff, looks like they've done a top notch job. To me it's a shop, I will never understand -
I'm thinking they should open the little bar they have there and make it a nice little quiet chill out area for those so inclined. Could probably do a really small snack menu there which is just items stollen off the buffet?? Im all for more sit down eating areas and it's nice when you have some hidden gems in the park. The whole area looks great.

'The Hidden World Of Travelling Carnival Rides'
rappa replied to Jamberoo Fan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I say theme parks have large teams of qualified mechanical fitters maintaining their rides and extensive engineering testing at tightly regimented intervals on their attractions... Who/what do Carnivals have? -

Dreamworld Lego Store construction
rappa replied to Theme Park Girl's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yes but the Green Lantern sign is unique and looks awesome. The lights on TOT look generic and tacky. Honestly would anyone CHOOSE to have lights flash red, green, and blue if that wasn't the default setting? Maybe the Lego store is yet to be programmed but the whole building is yellow, I think it would look best if they were solid yellow, or maybe a complimentary red. Doubtful, it will probably stay on full kebab shop setting and look horrible. -

Don't want to derail the thread but thanks for the info re the screens. I wasn't thinking it was one of those 'open the door straight to the cubical' deals so that makes sense. -

What is that all about? More specifically why does it apply to Ambulant facilities specifically? -
I'd be happy to pay and also take others.

2x Dinner in Bazaar $160 Bottle of wine $70 2x Pre Dinner Cocktails $40 Tip $30 Already $300 right there for a prettt standard dinner at QT. So even by those standards it's like $25 for the tiger component. Make that a fine dining restaurant and you're easily up to and past the $350 mark with 3 courses and drinks and a substantially higher tip. Slick is pretty on the money here

Superman was manufacturer locally to Intamin spec. But I'm not aware of Mack doing local manufacturing so I'd say the track with ship from Germany. -
Are you all kidding me? Let me start by saying this (and I don't mean to offend but it's going to happen), THIS IS NOT FOR YOU!! All this talk of (oh but what about people who might have allergies/not like seafood) not liking this or that, and that it's not worth it if you don't like wine. This is is a whole unique food and beverage offering at an extremely low price for what is being offered. Its not for theme park enthusiasts that want to have a winge about which part of it isn't suited to their millennial carry on personal absolute requirements. Good on Dreamworld for offering something unique that caters to the top tier market. Not everything has to be for you and things shouldn't be criticized just because they aren't. Also any guy that's getting out of Valentine's Day dinner for under $350 should be buying a lottery ticket and holding onto that partner and never letting them go! Now excuse me whilst I go buy some tickets.

Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster Reopening [Dec 26, 2016]

I actually really like that backwards idea. Just put another turntable in the jungle room so the whole wild mouse can be done forwards. In fact you're just relocating the turntable from its current location cause you still only need one. Put magnetic brakes on the final drop so it's not jarring to take it backwards. What would be real cool is if the theming in the jungle room was done in a way so that it rotated with the car so you had no idea you were being turned backward again.- 202 replies

That is entirely a very strange response to someone who was agreeing with you.

I think AlexB has the authority here, especially if he is driving highways every day. NSW always taught safe traveling distance as a value of time not length. You should be 2-3 seconds behind the car in front. The length of that gap increases exponentially as your speed goes up.

One of those 'carparks' (the outback staff one) is at best a gravel flat pad. Not really losing anything if they built on it.

Food is definitely a draw card. So is beverage. I haven't done Carnivale this year but I dropped a lot of money last year and it was awesome. Same as park fine dining. It's not really a thing here but overseas, especially at Disney quality dining is a big part of the theme park experience. I've dined at Carthay Circle many times, they even sell Grange by the glass!! Ive always thought it a missed opportunity at Sea World here. The old Broadwater restaurant has probably one of the best views on the Gold Coast and I always saw it becoming a destination restaurant. Umtimately it wasn't to be and has now been repurposed.

Give the guy a break. I'm sure it's just a case of a poor choice of words and he doesn't think a cleaner is a lower member of society than a food and beverage attendant. -
Is that correct? I thought I read everyone has an instructor. It's just if you don't have a license you don't get to drive.
