Ibot 0
Hey everyone, is Wonderland a company name? Says if i wanted to make my own park and call it Wonderland Sydney would i be able to do that or go through legal jumble?
Gazza 2,265
Check out http://www.ipaustralia.gov.au/ , it should have all the info you want.
aidan 0
As if you would make a park if you are which I dont think, why dont you think of a better name than that because everyone will think they are re-opening wonderland expecting great things. Edited April 24, 2006 by aidan
Gazza 2,265
Yeah, thats the thing, if you wanted to recycle the Wonderland name people would expect the park to be as good as, if not better than the original.
rappa 2,548
as good as, if not better than the original. Well that wouldn't be too hard to achieve now would it
Bussy 31
Personally I think it would be a bad idea to use the Wonderland name as it may hold a bit of a stigma with some people. Why can't you come up with an original name of your own? Come up with something that has no similarity to any other park in the world and make a name for yourself. Why not something like "Ibotland", hang on the phone is ringing, its Will Smith wanting royalties. AlexB 5,467
i didnt see the point of creating a new thread for this, but i just want to make the following observations: The quality of posts coming from ibot seems about the same as ol NightShifter... bussy you will remember this guy I think? Now is it just me, or does ibot seem like a little 11 year old wannabe coming up with absolute drivel? And finally, am I the only one groaning in frustration and utter annoyance at these posts? Theres my two cents....
goliath 3
Now is it just me, or does ibot seem like a little 11 year old wannabe coming up with absolute drivel? I think you hit the nail on the head with that one. Surely if Ibot was actually serious about building a theme park, he wouldnt come on the internet and ask for advice from people in a forum. Also Ibot, you dont need to keep creating new threads for every single question you have. Next time you have a question to ask regarding 'building a new theme park' you should put it in one of your other threads. Oh, and if you want your absurd posts to be taken seriously, it might be a good idea to learn how to spell. And finally, am I the only one groaning in frustration and utter annoyance at these posts? No, you're not the only one. Edited April 23, 2006 by goliath
aidan 0
Yeah thats right... I really think he is bull@#&^ing us with this whole "im gonna make a park called wonderland". Edited April 24, 2006 by aidan
tom 0
Lol! I couldnt agree more.... I think he's just possibly trying to get attention, or bored... Or something else. *shrugs*
Ibot 0
Hello let me explain a little..... 1.You see, first off you (by what i mean people, who are jumping to their own conclusion) that ASUSSUME somthing they think is right. If someone asks "Is Wonderland a company name? Say IF i wanted to make my own park and call it Wonderland Sydney would i be able to do that or go through legal jumble?" it is a question not a statment. IM not trying to get more posts or im being bored, im seriously asking a question. 2.First off again 'you' ASUSSUME, that im at a certain age, that im this rich, im this poor, im bu********* you. How do you know what is true? You are jumping straight to your own happy ending, so you have (mayby, not saying your are) somthing to post about. 3. Who has given you the right, to talk **** about others which is false. With out having the facts right. Find the facts out, thats why we ask questions. To find out information. So we dont get the facts wrong. And Finally, you want to talk f****** **** about me or someone have the guts and b**** to say it to there face. Dont be a little girl. Send them a pm or email etc not make a huge fuss about it, talk to the person 80% of the time you will be able to reslove it. Also some people might have problems (not in a slack or harmful way) and they might be a s*** english. Dont be slack, dont be rude. Give support, help them, or give structual critisam (in plain english, tell the problem and tell them how they can improve/get better). Kind Regards, Ibot.
tom 0
Well, comments like yours just posted, can be expressed WITHOUT the need to use bad language. Even if it is censored. And besides, after all, this IS a forum, where everyone has the right to put their two cents in, regardless of criticism, structual criticism, or helping a person with their questions. Your ideas are coming accross as a little far fetched. But thats ok, you can express your ideas, but then again, expect comments (Good and bad)
goliath 3
in plain english, tell the problem and tell them how they can improve/get better). You can improve and get better by not swearing so much in your posts (even if you are using *), reading over your posts for spelling and grammatical errors, and making sure everything you've written makes sense; I had to read over your post twice, and still dont understand most of it!
Ibot 0
simply be nice in plain old english. I agree, also i will try to cut down on posts.
AlexB 5,467
I am still awaiting a post from Ibot that reads in "plain old english". I spent 5 minutes with a dictionary looking for the meaning of Asussume, reslove, and critisam. I ASSUME that he wants us to RESOLVE our points of CRITICISM with him in private. by what i mean people, who are jumping to their own conclusion So does that mean that you are assuming I am jumping to my own conclusion.... *hippocrit* it is a question not a statment. IM not trying to get more posts or im being bored, im seriously asking a question.I don't believe anybody laid it down as a statement, nobody ever challenged it as a question... 2.First off again lessons in english will come later - it seems you have a bigger problem to deal with - that being math... there can only be one FIRST.... the one after first is usually SECOND. 'you' ASUSSUME, that im at a certain age, that im this rich, im this poor, im bu********* you. How do you know what is true?I never for one minute said it was true, what I said was it SEEMS like you were. Who has given you the right, to talk **** about others which is false. With out having the facts right. Find the facts out, thats why we ask questions. To find out information. So we dont get the facts wrong.Well I could sight the constitution, numerous freedom of speech rights, I could also just spout out that as a member of roller-coaster.com.au, it is my right to post on the forums. I never once stated a fact in my post. I made OBSERVATIONS, which are just that. MY POINT OF VIEW. as with everyone else, I AM ALSO ENTITLED to have my own point of view, and NOBODY can demand that that point of view concur with their own. And Finally, you want to talk f****** **** about me or someone have the guts and b**** to say it to there face. Dont be a little girl. Send them a pm or email etc not make a huge fuss about it, talk to the person 80% of the time you will be able to reslove it.Right so rather than being a little girl by standing up in a crowd and speak my mind openly, you want me to have guts by secretly talking about it, in private? *CONTRADICTION COUGH COUGH* And to be honest, in my life, I have learnt the benefit of a dead cert. Why risk an 80% chance of success when I can achieve 100% success, and in doing so, find others who support me and my views? Also some people might have problems (not in a slack or harmful way) and they might be a s*** english. Dont be slack, dont be rude. Give support, help them, or give structual critisam (in plain english, tell the problem and tell them how they can improve/get better).I do not doubt for a moment that you have problems. Honestly, I don't know where to start with you... but to give you a helping hand, here is one you can use... ROLLER-COASTER.COM.AU Community Guidelines - a handbook to using the forums correctly, following the rules and generally not getting verbally bashed by those members who might find your childish, but poor nettiquette absolutely revolting. But also, just in case you need to go back to basics even further than the community guidelines, might I suggest this site as a starting point to get your language skills back up to speed... HELP FOR IBOT CAN BE FOUND HERE Notice that I also did not resort to a single obscenity, or profanity, I got my point across, and I didnt use "*****" either. (which coincidentally is also not permitted under the guidelines). Until Next Time, Alex.

T-bone 675
For those aware of who Stan Zemanek is and how he is known, this conversation between Stan (alexb) and one of his callers (ibot) seems very familiar. Ibot, you wouldn't happen to be one of Stan Zemanek's callers which would hold the line for half an hour only to be told off, and be called a low life loser? Because I could have sworn I have heard a conversation along these lines before.
Dylaan 0
LMAO!!!- Thats the only word that can describe that post! Yeh, I thought it was funny too but isn't it usually more than one word.... sorry couldn't help myself.
thetron 0
Simple answer No Why: Sunway would still own the naming and licencing rights to all the ride names and the park itself You could call it "Undoingland"
PattieBoi 0
Six Flags Sydney doesn't sound bad at all =)
mickey_079 18
Hey everyone, is Wonderland a company name? Says if i wanted to make my own park and call it Wonderland Sydney would i be able to do that or go through legal jumble? The wonderland name is actually owned by Paramount pictures and by the wonderland in canada. Wonderland in australia was actually a sister park of the one in canada, wonderland sydney had the same bush beast and beastie as the ones in canada, it had the space probe and the demon as well. many rides at wonderland were replicas of the rides in wonderland canada.
