Not sure if this has been posted but the pot plant blocking the path is gone and 2 very very temporary fences are there.

Appreciate the updates! Track will go in front of GD, in the removed section of the ToT track (unless plans have changed). Page 22 of this thread. There's notes in the construction plan about ride supports being installed within the current building footprint, and to be 'made good' by builders, to me this means the existing building is staying.

Signage has been added to the fencing out the front and in the park. And here’s a look at the new path. I do like how they are bringing back this classic style of Kenny. Nice little touch. And they really have removed a lot of train track, but areas like this have been left wide open for guests to walk into

Do we get to pull the government funding for providing indigenous cultural experiences now? Maybe they can knock down the cave and rename the area Rio Tinto Land

I think it will, but it’s track route is going to be different. If possible, probably something like this It will be interesting to see if they keep the existing train storage/maintenance buildings though, or if they’ll construct a new one. The track will then still have to link with to this building. The train journey going through these large areas of deserted land is pointless. If they changed the route, that would mean the removal of the Rocky Hollow station (which also doesn’t have any purpose anymore). Leaving Main Street and Corroboree, which I think is all the park needs

Progress update on the Ice Cream Parlour

Can confirm no coaster today, still undergoing testing. Will hopefully be in the next few days. The store has opened though. Despite the efforts on the park exterior, there was no real effort inside. Pretty much looks the same. They’ve even still got the car track/crowd print on the back wall. The store just sells general merchandise that is found else where

But the ride takes 40 people...so should be a longer cycle

I was there yesterday, and talked to mulitple different ride ops, who all said the same thing. "We found out 2 days ago, it is now decommissioned". I know that talk from staff is not always reliable, but when you hear the same thing from mulitple people, it starts to make sense.

What do you mean? I was down there waiting for it to open. Got at least 40 rides on it in that 35 minutes

The Beach would have gotten more slides, bush beast would have eventually closed, and a small coaster from an Italian manufacturer would have been installed. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I don’t know why they’d bother changing it, I loved the style of DWs map and they ruined it by creating this. But I really do think it hasn’t been finished because of how shit it looks (I really hope that’s the case)

Well clearly, the whole ride is down because the ride photo screens are broken and are away getting repaired. These are imported screens from germany, and parts are being delayed through customs. Plus the border lockdown is preventing the german technician from coming to Australia to fix it - because local tradespeople don't have the expertise to fix these specialised devices. They're not made of wood you know!

Meanwhile back at Arkham. It's pretty obvious nothing is happening anytime soon. Super odd. I know others have voiced this but why do VRTP love letting attraction SBNO. I understand you need to conduct cost evaluations and that but it is super odd. Vikings, Mach 5, Arkham all sitting (not Mach 5 anymore!) for ages while people try to figure out what to do. I am going to say it also. If DW did this pitchforks come out and the town gets ready to burn them to the ground. Management has known Arkhams age was catching up. It is not a great look at ANY park to leave things SBNO for ages. I really hope they have a future long term idea for this area of the park tho. I am sure they do. But they need to get a hurry on and try to figure out what that plan is.

Coffs draws far more tourists than you think. Not as many as the GC, but that would change if it had a major tourist drawcard. As for Northern Queensland, it has the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree. It's one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia.

That seems unlikely my guess is that they will announce the ride to close after white Christmas then start demolition then start dropping hints about its replacement late next year then early 2022 they will announce the ride then begin construction and then the ride should realistically if all this happens in that time frame It should open late 2022 or early 2023 don’t count me on that just guessing

Why is VRTP always have to be so cheap they have to use these as temp fences
