  1. TPSN has shared a close up photo of the sign. Love the detail.

  3. Yeah look - it's not like passholders are paying a premium - they get bargain basement prices. If they're going to do a general soft-open for any guests on the day, and choose to market this to passholders as a preview (but still allow any guests on the day to enter) then i'm all for it, as long as the usual technical rehearsal signage \ expectations are posted for all to understand (though the concept of a single rider queue seems foreign to some so not sure if that'd make any difference....)

  4. Arguably different, but I can't help but see the parallels. I love the copper tarnish effects!!!

  6. It was alright in the end. Ended up with two rides on Lantern and Superman, one on Rivals and Batwing and caught the 4pm Roxy Cinema show. Doomsday stayed closed but I did suss out someone standing in the OP booth toward the end of the day while we were checking out the Doomsday area, so hopefully tomorrow. Superman had all effects working (stair water and misters) which was really good to see!

  7. Fair point, but making me laugh as hard as I did, and smirk so much, is not easy, pat yourself on the back.

  9. Agreed, I reckon they will open them together. Hahahahaha, sorry, but I just had let you know that I found that hilarious.

  10. I get it in parks with huge attendance/pass holder numbers, but in Australia it's kind of pointless. I get the point of limiting demand as supply because supply is limited but it's just not that big an issue in Australia. The queue will limit demand if it gets too long. Just soft open it without telling anyone. Once it's running reliably and kinks in ops are sussed, declare it open and change the ads from 'coming soon' to 'now open'.

  11. A set-in stone practice of 2 seats every train isn't a good idea. People will catch on and abuse it.

  12. Nooope that's not the point of a single rider queue. The idea is that it CAN reduce your wait, but it's entirely luck of the draw, and it could even be as long a wait as the main queue. If it was known that they grabbed 2 guests at a time, then pairs (or even singles) would just treat it as their personal VIP line. It would annoy pairs waiting in the main queue if 2 people were grabbed from the singles queue to go in front of them.

  13. No need to force the single rider line - it has its purpose and everyone should know the risks attached, especially with a 2x train.

  15. My thoughts on the wall is that the entrance to New Atlantis starts of with the sandy coloured pavement, turning blue as you progress past vortex. We haven't seen the full complete picture of what lies beyond vortex, but my thinking is (since Atlantis is a sunken underwater city) that perhaps these portals take you between the water and not - the mirrored "doorways" representing a sheet of water separating the dry\wet sides (with the ride's entrance one of those) - the money spinner blue shelter in the queue line further leads me to that conclusion.. we're going underwater and entering the Leviathan's lair. The greenery (for my interpretation) isn't above the water, but is perhaps a mossy rockery?
