  1. Around 15 minutes? Oh the humanity! How ever will these people ever recover...
  2. Obviously if it's open, the ride has been repaired, tested and deemed safe for the public. I drove past today and it was operating with people on it so I'd say it's definitely been sorted and reopened.
  3. That's actually a really great cost. For people with no friends and a little extra cash, It's definitely not a stretch to pay that and just smash balls on your own for half a day
  4. That video is so terrible because it makes all of the motions looks super jittery and not smooth. Without the camera shaking it would show that it is a pretty smooth ride. As for the OTSR, I can understand why they would be in place as some of the dives and motion look steep. I honestly wouldn't mind an OTSR because it allows the gondola to tilt more. Being DW, I can't see them having a seatbelt or lapbar restraint system because as we've already seen *cough* log cages, shockwave noose *cough* DW purposefully try to restrict you as much as possible by adding extra restraints.
  5. Here's the article for anyone who can't get past the paywall
  6. I feel like just a "like reaction" doesn't do justice to how spot on @AlexB is with that reply.
  7. If anything I'd prefer a gondola similar to Falcons Fury. You go up seated, the gondolas tilt inwards you go down face first while sitting. Less carnage on the genitals
  8. I agree, Mark is fantastic at what he does but his name gets thrown around far too often in here just because he's the only "active" member in the forums that was part of a theme park senior leadership team. I'm sure there are many highly qualified professionals who could fill the Ardent CEO position.
  9. If the hotel does get built just outside MW in the next 5-10 years, VRTP will be a shopping precinct away from a mini Disney World type set up with everything you need without having to leave the property.
  10. I feel like the cave is probably being removed due to fire safety concerns. Too enclosed and no room to escape in the event of an emergency.
  11. Those are the slide pieces that are sitting next to a rusty overturned shed which possibly themeing from something
  12. I forgot to get photos when I was down there today (rookie mistake) but those slide pieces have been there for a long time. I always assumed it was spare parts/old parts that could still be useful.
  13. If you keep making quality videos like this, it'll end up needing it's own thread. Great work again, dude!
  14. You mean like installing temporary support beams in the interim until the TRRR removal is complete and then installing permanent supports in their place?
  15. I wasn't expecting such a great quality video. This was super interesting and informative. I hope you do make more like this in the future as I would watch the hell out of them.
  16. What annoys me most is the lack of it being a round number. Why stop at $19? Just make it an even $20
  17. That's where you're wrong, kiddo. SDSC is a crowd favourite, even in its current bare state. It's been discussed at length and agreed that the Scooby Doo theme will stay after it goes down for maintenance at the end of the year.
  18. Oh really? Are you doing that for an assignment or just in your spare time? I'd be super keen on checking that out once you get it complete.
  19. He's the one who helped make that video for MW, he was most likely summoned to read your great feedback about it.
  20. That's something I loved about a lot of rides I went on overseas, their safety videos are themed to the ride and are played during the queue, mixed in with other videos to keep you entertained. I loved the Simpsons ride at Universal Studios Orlando because it was playing clips from the Simpsons in a sketch comedy show style.
  21. All rides that they don't allow you to take bags on at Universal Orlando have free lockers outside. Every locker fit my very full backpack with no problems. The two main rollercoasters, Rip Ride Rockit and the Hulk both went as far as to have metal detectors and security to make sure you didn't bring any loose articles on the ride.
  22. I heard @Reanimated35 was a fan of EDM... Seriously though, the ride really doesn't need audio, especially not EDM.
  23. Tbf, most people were expecting this with its frequent downtime I'm just hoping it's another Wipeout situation where they are waiting for parts and theres a chance it might come back better than before.
