Just a quick add on to that extraordinarily good explaination, as I don't think it was quite covered - the lift system is not "synchronised" as it is "connected". You would have an idea about how a normal lift works - lift car attached to a cable which goes up to the winch and then back down to a counterweight. In the case of scooby, the counterweight for the car going up is the car going down. there is one cable, and it is attached to both cars. they could never collide because it is impossible for the cars to be in a position where they could hit at the same time.
What i meant was like you know how the tracks get connected to the lift.. what would happen if the ride faulted for like 6 seconds and it made the elevator go up before or in the middle of the second car going into the elevator?

You would crash off the end of the track at the bottom of the lift, and the second lift cabin would be coming down, so it would crush the heads of the riders, releasing the sweet jelly within and resulting in a horrible painful death for all involved. For this reason nobody should ever ride Scooby Doo. post-88-1191653308_thumb.jpg *Note, there is a slight chance Superman will sense your danger, and propel you out of the ride at 100km/h *Another thing that might happen if the second car doesn't make it into the lift is that the second car will become frustrated, and will proceed to repeatedly press the up button until the lift comes back down for it.

I went on it today and its the first time i was ever stoped at some of the emergency breaks, i thought this was weird because there was truely like no line. The line started just as you turn into the loading station after the corridor. Anyway, the ride stoped at the corner before the straight that goes into the first of the two forward dark ride drops. It also stoped before going into the jungle room and when we went into the jungle room you could see there was a train after the drop sitting there and there was also a train sitting there before the drop, then after the last drop the brake is already pretty hard but it was even harder because we were pulled up alot earlier then usual. The attendents didn't seem to fussed so maybe someone just held up the loading/unloading progress while i was going up the lift or something. Also the junge room isn't lit up at all and you can't see scooby when he says exit out this way... Anyway still my favourtie ride, especially when sitting in the front seat of the train.

On sunday the final room was completely dark and without fog. Also there was no haze or the newly added water mist haze in the main room.
Any news on when the haze will be back up in the main room? it does lack that certain feeling i got the first couple times on it as it seems its themeing is slowly getting worst (all be it im sure simple things to fix such as lights and stuff), especially the last room. Edited by ShadowXL

i went about six months ago. i never had a problem with it and i went on it seventeen times in one day and i never saw it shut down once during that day which was good because the superman and the lethal weapon were shut down due to bad weather. but in the tweenty three times i have been on it in all i have never had any problem with it. it was the first coaster i went on and i will never forget that first ride.

I had my first evac from Scooby yesterday morning. I was so excited! We had just gone up in the lift. We were in the front car. We didn't move. I could hear the people in the car behind us - so I knew it hadn't moved either. I suspected something was amiss. Next thing the music stops and an announcement (female voice) came over the speakers saying that the ride had to be temporarily stopped. We waited a little while and the announcement was repeated (suggesting to me that it was an automated announcement). Waited a bit longer and then the lights came on. A male voice announced that the ride had to be stopped and that people had to be evacuated. I think this was also an automated announcement but then another announcement was made telling us to stay calm and wait until an attendant came around. This announcement didn't sound pre-recorded. A few seconds later a ride op with a torch came into the lift area and got us out one by one. I think someone mentioned that the lift is the first place people get evacuated from, so I guess we were lucky. As we went down the stairs and towards the gate back into the park, another ride op came running in with a torch. I guess they come running from everywhere to do Scooby evacs!

LOL! Lucky bums! And that announcement seems similar to the Pre Recorded Bermuda speil. "Attention riders, it is necessary for us to temporarily stop the ride, please remain in your boat at all times until a staff member escorts you off the ride. We apologize for the inconvenience." I think my record is hearing that 6 times in ONE day... I think the aliens had something to do with it <_<
