Neil Balnaves is stepping down as chairman of Gold Coast theme park operator Ardent Leisure after 13 years helming the board.

The information I found most interesting was-

Mr Balnaves said Ardent now had a clear growth strategy after offloading its health clubs and marinas businesses to focus on its theme parks and bowling alleys.Ardent, Owner of Dreamworld, WhiteWater, World and the Skypoint climb, recently said it planned to further develop Dreamworld ahead of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

I can’t remember where DW has mentioned the Commonwealth Games before.  This gives me some hope that DW are going to counter MW additions.

Well, this somewhat suggests that the WANDA angle isn't happening anytime soon.

It also suggests the park does have things in motion before the CommGames - something I know @reanimated35 had been (until recently) pushing for more info on from 'Belinda Brown'

But it seems since they've been asked to pay for the privilege, DW has clammed up on us.
