  4. If any of you saw the episode of Shark Tank last night on channel 10, you would've seen Lynton V. Harris propose his latest interactive attraction, Sharknado Alive! For anyone who doesn't know, Lynton is the owner of the Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company, which has created various attractions & scare mazes for theme parks and other establishments across Australia and the United States, including the AVPX and Zombie Evilution attractions for Dreamworld. If you want to watch the attraction proposal, skip to 33:15 - http://tenplay.com.au/channel-ten/shark-tank/season-2/episode-1 There weren't many details released about the attraction itself, apart from this one concept image. TL/DR - I'm 99% certain that this Sharknado attraction will be replacing Zombie Evilution in 2017. So why do I think this is coming to Dreamworld? Since Laser Tag has been "retired," and now that Zombie Evilution only operates as a scare maze for special events, the attraction's closure is imminent. It wouldn't make sense to stop operating the scare maze before the final screamworld event (19th November) - so I believe that the scare maze will cease operation after the Screamworld event on the 19th of November, in preparation for it's transformation into Sharknado Alive! ready for the 2017 April holidays period. It took 166 days (31st March - 12th September) for the conversion from AVPX to Zombie Evilution, however, as it's highly unlikely that laser tag will return (and all of the technical side related to that), the conversion from Zombie Evilution to Sharknado shouldn't take as long. Assuming that the attraction's final night of operation is the 19th of November, this gives the park 133 days before the April school holidays, commencing April 1st 2017, to convert the attraction. To further back this up, in an email I received previously, Dreamworld has said: While this leaves room for doubt, the Sharknado theme actually fits into the Ocean Parade area (unlike the previous attractions [Aliens, Predators and Zombies]) - the infrastructure is already there for the attraction to be installed, and Dreamworld already has an ongoing relationship with the Sudden Impact company, I don't see why this wouldn't happen, but I can understand any doubt there may be. I'd love to hear what you all think of this

  6. By expansion I meant giga coaster That location has been mentioned numerous times for the new roller coaster next year. I know it probably is just a maintenance area, but surely they would've been better of building it behind WWF? (where they keep the floats for parades)

  7. You'd be shocked to know I do, but I'm at the end of my data for the month so I was waiting to get home to upload pictures but here they are... The main support ready for the arms to be attached. The two arms prior to being lifted into place. Moving the first arm into place. Attaching it to the main support and motor. Also, this was taken through the employee gate behind WWF (the smoking area). Not sure if it's been discussed before but could it be to do with an expansion or just a maintenance shed? I noticed what could be a sign behind the blue fence at the back but I wasn't too sure.

  8. The unofficial back of house spy whisper is saying a second train is coming. I trust the source so i'd say it's is all but confirmed. the issue here, is whether that will improve operations, or simply allow them to reduce maintenance downtime by running one train whilst the other is in the workshop (AKA Superman). I do hope and pray that MW operations fully intend on maintaining two-train operation, and running it efficiently during busier periods... but i'm not holding my breath at this stage.

  9. I found this really cool video of Space Mountain stopped with the emergency lights on and staff then coming around to release the brakes and push the trains to get them going again:

  11. Well it would explain the recent influx of new designs on the Ettamogah Group's website. The Filename for the hotel is "Geelong", so that sounds promising. Also my favourite thing about this is the fact they've replaced the Ford with a Mack. Theres also the other hotel option that popped up in january i believe (last photo was last month) And lastly, this ones been up for a long while, but they've just started to run with it. Its currently being built in King St Melbourne and can also be adapted for food courts and the likes. So this brings the total type of Pubs to 6, with 3 standing, 1 former and another nearing completion.

  15. I'd like the Eureka ride re-designed and re-opened. And Buzzsaw The Sequel. Tear down the existing ride and add the model with 2 loops.

  17. now that the arm is on that tower still just doesn't look right... you have these cool looking rusty dilipated arms that fit right in with a doomsday theme...and than you have the tower which looks brand spanking new with bad camo
