  1. Great find!!! Thanks for sharing the info!! Cant help but think that this is a "safe" and a bit boring addition for Funfields. I would have thought that since we are now at Tornado number 8 in Australia, a different and more unique slide would have been just the ticket. Dont get me wrong, its awesome that the investment in the Victorian parks still continues , but I cannot help but feel slightly disappointed at these plans.

  2. Funfields' planning application has just been approved by Whittlesea Council tonight. Will be a multi-coloured tornado slide, which will share the same tower and splash pool as the Gravity Wave. No name or opening date yet but it's bound to open sometime in 2020. Great to see the continued investment. This will be their fourth ProSlide and their seventh overall. They have also applied for a couple of other permits (to better compete with Gumbuya IMO) which includes opening until 8pm on 7 selected days in January and a liquor licence for the wave pool area.

  4. Both look great in their own ways. I do prefer the Funfields one with the colours blended, will be interesting to see if they can pull that off. It's always great to hear about all the small parks around Australia investing in new attractions. They know their place in the industry and instead of going for the biggest, newest thing they stick with what they know and keep the regular locals happy. It probably won't happen any time soon but I do start to wonder when one of these smaller parks might take the plunge and try to be the next big park. I was always disappointed when African Safari World was scrapped because the Victorian Government said it would have cost too much for the taxpayers. I think the only way for us to get a new park at this stage would be either one of the big global companies deciding to build here (Fat chance of that happening) or one of the smaller parks invests heavily. It would be interesting to see if a smaller park stepping up holds onto their level of detail they put into their parks, I always seem to feel that attractions at smaller parks and the parks themselves are generally of a better quality in terms of cleanliness/working effects etc. that some of our bigger parks.

  5. From what I gather those parks aren't fans of each other.

  7. After seeing those plans I thought I had recognised that colour scheme before and after doing some digging I found one with it on the proslide website. I’m not sure where it is located though. So this is basically what were gonna get.

  8. I still think the lightsaber is on a disk like a rotary telephone. 1000x easier than that.

  9. I love that the Victorian parks continue to expand, but the colour choice on this one is a bit too close to another new ProSlide over at Adventure Park. You'd think they'd want to differentiate as much as possible..

  10. LOOOOOOL WHAT N O On the topic of a 4d free spin, it definitely isnt a bad Cyclone replacement. But such a ride is still at least 5 years away. Also I have no fucking idea as to what Bluey is as I'm not the target demographic of ABC Kids, nor do i have young children in that demographic. Area should probably get a minor IP update though, Giggle and Hoot and Bananas in Pyjamas aren't exactly the most relevant IP's for 2020. With an ABC Kids update basically inevitable given the freeing up of the old TOT station's real estate, I expect newer more relevant IP's to be in place when this happens, while retaining Play School and Wiggles.

  11. By the way, if they want to match it in with the existing slide, call it Supernova.

  13. Honestly, it looks better than Tsunami just on the fact that it's a cohesive and consistent rainbow colour. Not rainbow colours just thrown all over the wazoo

  14. I appreciate it being posted here to so I can go back and see the history and if/when VRTP change the dates. Another seperate period for Doomsday has now been added for the 10th-12th.

  15. Great offer from LPS to say thanks to the Fire Service. The GC parks should follow suit. https://www.lunaparksydney.com/whats-on/tickets-volunteer-fire-fighters

  16. Bluey is a popular Australian ABC character, it’s no surprise to see them capitalise on it.

  17. They could have always gotten First Flight from MM had it not gone to La Ronde
