  1. But if they put up a larger fence we wouldn't' get construction updates đŸ˜„

  2. In my experience of the last few months riding Scooby The initial “projection walls” have been out for awhile, in addition to multiple screens in the lift. The final Tiki Island screen has been inconsistent, sometimes working, sometimes a still display without the scare and other times off. They really should just redo it with more flame resistant theming in the initial Ghost Train section imho.

  3. Pretty sure I said the screens should be working. 99% of the time someone posts actual factual info here it’s going to come from a source that can’t be disclosed, that’s the nature of real inside information. Gatekeeping would be posting “I know something and won’t tell you” which is a far cry from posting actual insights that may be of interest to people, to the extent they can be shared. There are several members on these board who are actively working in/with the parks or have close contacts with people that are. Often they will try to share whatever information they can get away with to contribute to the discussion and for the interest of other members who may actually be interested in reading. Your options are to have information without always the full path back to the source, or to have nothing. I know which I’d prefer. I don’t however have some agenda of wanting to post pure speculation as fact for the purpose of making myself feel good, if I did, perhaps I’d sooner no real info is shared. Whenever I make a guess about something or speculate, I always make a point of stating that I’m doing so. Therefore it stands to reason that if I’m saying something is fact, it probably is I can’t/won’t speak for others, but that’s my story. Sorry if it upsets you to be corrected when your speculation is inaccurate. Glad to hear you are busy, the last few years have not been good to many AV Experts out there.

  4. God can you stop with your rubbish. This is like your previous post saying they pull the train apart all the time so just take it off. When in actual fact you have no idea how they usually take the train apart. Just quit the armchair expert routine on things you actually don’t know about.

  5. Argh so many assumptions in this thread it's kinda puke. We don't know why it didn't make the full circuit. We don't know why it's still there. We don't know what the rescue plan is. We don't know what emails have been sent or calls have been made. I am critical of Movieworld as i hold it to a higher standard but gesus goddamn this is a largely unforeseeable and almost unheard of valley in Australia that Movieworld cannot and shouldn't be getting heat for. It sucks it's taken this long to fix for sure - but if you don't think they arnt pulling teeth trying to fix it then you are foolish.

  6. Hey guys, How are you all? Just wanted to share some pics of my trip to Movieworld yesterday. The park was pretty good, clean tidy, gardens well maintained. And considering 4 rides were closed, (2 of which are major coasters), the park had a really great atmosphere, the closed rides didn’t impact on the day at all. All the staff I came an across were really friendly. Now for the cons, A lot of effects on Wild West Falls either not working or out of sync with the ride. Scooby Coaster, practically no screens working, everything else was running good. I wish they’d tidy this up, looney tunes river shut ages ago, and maybe some benches would be nice. And please movie world, do something with this.. A bit more on the picky side, but the little things are just as important as the big things. Arkham is gone, so this should be gone. I know the area is closed, and this makes a good photo spot, but how I said the area is closed, get rid of this. Nothing new on Wizard of Oz, but I know this won’t always be like this, but this looks really untidy, put up a more concealing fence to hide this from guest view. Don’t have any pics of the area, but Doomsday looked great, but a lot of effects weren’t working, and the old game screens are sitting unused, this area needs some love, please give it some. Only seems fitting to end on a high, this looks cool.

  10. New sign for 2022, plus you can see precinct theming starting to appear in the park

  11. Increasing the cost will artificially create a ticket cap as people just won't go.

  12. Oh wait are we talking about the Scrappy Doo screens? Yeah them not working drastically improves the ride.

  14. Easy to operate once installed, like most display wall type product. But expensive and hard to replace if damaged, so maybe that is what is currently the case? I personally hate those screens and would be happy to see them vanish.

  15. The biggest complaint from Fright Nights 2019 was that unless you used Fast Track or other up-sells to skip the queues you'd likely not get to all the mazes in one night. If the premise behind the price increase is to lower demand to meet supply and in doing so ensure that most people get to have an enjoyable night then i'm all for it - guess we'll see.

  16. Not only is this year drastically more expensive, this is also the first year VRTP have offered team members no free tickets for Fright Nights, instead only x2 50% off tickets for the first 3 nights. Which still adds up to almost $40 a ticket each. Team members also pointed out they still had in staff discounts on the employee portal that team members are entitled to x2 free FN tickets a year, to which they just responded “sorry that hasn’t been updated”.

  17. And then increased to $15 dollars while the seat's been roped off and inoperable for a year
