Being that they haven't even removed the tree I'm going to bet on it being something insurance related. Possibly waiting for a claim etc for the cleanup/repair due to the attraction damage.

Maybe they've been speculating on the reopening expecting that a claim would have been finalised already?

Despite already closing for maintenance this year and only reopening a few weeks ago, Serpent Slayer has unexpectedly closed and for a few months

The ride hasn’t operated the hard style mode for a few weeks now, so this could be in response to resolving that issue

They should just take the ride off the maintenance page instead of extending it over and over when it isn't going to reopen.

Word is they want it open, but they’re ‘waiting on insurance’. If that is the case, and it continues to take longer than expected, I reckon they should make that clear & have it closed with no known reopen, instead of delaying dates like other parks do/have done.

Exactly this, simply have it listed as closed indefinitely on the website as MW currently has for Doomsday

I do hope they keep the old cars for something other than props.

Like, convert some into character vehicles for Kenny and his friends (probably have to take the governor off to make the hill up to main street, but hey, where there's a will...)

Or just rebrand it as mursissippi motors and say it’s opening in December
