Theme Park Photography

^you should start taking pictures with a camera, not with a potato.

My Camera is broken so I can't take pictures with it.

I use my iPhone to take my pictures but of course pictures on a iPhone come out very crap (not sure about the 5S and the new iPhone 6) and no I don't use the HDR either.

Might I strongly suggest taking photos with the camera app and not with Instagram. Filters, blur effects and other stuff does more harm to a photo than good. Age of the phone shouldn't really matter either, iPhone 4 or newer you can get some decent results with. These were taken with an iPhone 3GS proving you don't have to own a iPhone 5S/6, Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 or spend a couple of thousand on a DSLR to get good photos.

To hijack a thread a little, with 500px's new groups & discussions features, i've created a group for theme park enthusiasts to share photos as there wasn't one at all on 500px yet.

https://500px.com/groups/theme-parks-thrill-rides-roller-coasters/

For those of us who are 500px members, i'd love to see your work on there and for us all to create an awesome collection of work. It's a little bit niche but a very sweet little website if you want to show off your work.

From what I remember seeing, he's using some Nikon advanced P&S with a pop up flash, so in his case, bouncing the flash wouldn't really be an option as there's no hot shoe on that camera.

As for feedback, first image is pretty noisy, second - I'm not sure what bothers me more, the fact that the photo isn't straight, or the fact that the building isn't designed with the door in the middle. Third image - the right side somehow seems a little milky. Last image - the flash as mentioned, but that's probably unavoidable in your case, but also there's not really much going on in the photo to look at. Where were you wanting me to look?

In saying this, it's my personal opinion and just how I see it. I've asked for feedback online before from professional photogs on a shot which was my favourite one I've ever taken and was told it was pretty much shit and instead of questioning their advice I should just accept it or don't ask at all. Basically my point is, don't focus on what others think of your work too much, sure, take some advice, but mostly just shoot what you want to shoot, and enjoy it if you like it. Don't waste time trying to please others.

Never, ever, ever take photos on a phone vertically.

Are you just winding everyone up? like - persistently?

You seriously come out with some of the most boneheaded statements and i'm still trying to figure out whether you're just winding people up or whether you really are that.... obtuse?
