post-29384-0-78610700-1412154143_thumb.j Imagine is still popular after 7 years of the shows first debut

post-29384-0-82717200-1412154247_thumb.j It's sad to see Sea Viper leave the park. We hope there's a roller coaster that replaces Sea Viper.

That's all folks!

I'm not sure that this has been covered already, since I don't feel like catching up on the most recent posts on this thread.

But the "Gold Coast Theme Parks" Facebook page recently posted this:

"The SpongeBob ParadePants adventure is coming to an end on 10 October, so don’t miss your last chance to be transported to the wonderful underwater world of Bikini Bottom. You can still meet your favourite Nickelodeon characters at Sea World every day, plus there’s some exciting new attractions coming soon, so stay tuned for more information."

and "Attractions" doesn't that hint at something larger than we may have expected.

This could also mean they don't have to worry about interrupting the show with the rides, etc.

That's exactly what they did with the Thrillseeker (now Taipan) when they left the area empty and opening an animal exhibit 6 years later. And plus they have just added Storm- we aren't going to see a major attraction for a while.

There is a lot of difference between Thrillseeker and Corkscrew/Seaviper. Seaviper was an icon of the park and I am betting that its demise was fairly unexpected. The park did everything they could to keep that ride running. Now in the wake of its demise, I think that the park will be planning very carefully for that space and what should be another iconic ride to replace it. This is just a feeling and not due to any inside knowledge. I am hoping for a new coaster with several attractions underneath or around it. This would give the park an opportunity for another big coaster and several other smaller rides to add to the overall park ride count. Fingers crossed!

Popped in for a quick look at the site today. Not a whole lot to report other than a couple guys dumping soil around the newly planted greenery, but I took a few pics anyway.

With the shrubs being utilized as a fence it seems unlikely the grass area will be publicly accessible.

Sea World trialing new single car trains on Jet Rescue. Not really.
