That's ok @Wyncenuros I'm already book in one and I'll be doing it again once SE reopens just on the off chance it's BTS on that too. I'll let you know twice what you're missing :P

Please do...  This is something I have hoped they would do for many years...  Probably since they removed the old Studio Tours and then the Movie Magic stage...

Noticed last night but only had a proper look this morning...

Prince & Princess

Make your child’s dream of being a Prince or Princess come true with our new Prince and Princess of the Parade.

For a $30 donation to the Gold Coast Community Fund your child can become Prince or Princess of the daily Streets Star Parade at Warner Bros. Movie World.

Your little Royal will be crowned to take their position on the parade throne before joining the Movie World characters and Super Heroes for our famous Star Parade, chauffeured in their very own golden limo. Proud parents can view their little prince or princess from our exclusive VIP parade viewing area.

Your donation will go directly to helping Gold Coast families in need via the Gold Coast Community Fund.

So they have decided to take something else that was free (won at dance party with Looney Tunes) and get people to pay for it...  Sure the money is donated to a good cause in the local area but still...

WOO! :o The tour looks amazing. Being an interstate visitor, and a student, the price is a little expensive. I wonder if they could offer a lower priced, shorter, morning only tour; cutting out the lunch, Fast Track and VIP parade seating. That I would be booking right now!

I hope they continue the tour past the 24th of Sept and into the Summer. I guess if they book out every tour, then they'll keep it going.

Superman is back! MW kicking all the goals atm. The new coaster announcement will be the cherry on top.

I realise price is relative and all, but whether you can afford it or not, I don't think anyone can say that the Star Tour is 'expensive' - relatively speaking.

Dreamworld offer something similar. There are some differences - but having done neither of them, my perception is that they are relatively comparable - except that Dreamworld offers a 'VIP lounge' all day, with food and drink available all day (Which i don't see contributing in any major way towards cost). Dreamworld charge $1250 for adults, and $500 for children (although children who dont meet height requirements can't do some of the activities).

MW is charging less than a quarter of the price of the dreamworld experience, and by all accounts, what Movie World is offering is far more appealing to everyone.

Here's a comparison for those saying it's too expensive:

Thorpe Park, one of the only other places in the world that offer a Coaster Climb, is over $600 AUD.

Looking at Disney, their backstage tour is just under $360 AUD, it's longer, but the groups aren't capped. Alternatively, you could go for a VIP guide, which comes in at $2400 AUD (minimum of six hours.)

Then there's Universal Studios, their backstage tour is nearly $480 AUD.

And to top it off, there's Dreamworld, where you add a one to the front of the Star Tours price and get $1295 per adult AUD.

That's not to say Dreamworld's product is overpriced straight off the bat. Ultimately i'd say these products fall into one of two fields, backstage experiences or more exclusive escorted VIP experiences. Given the size of our parks, I think Star Tours strikes a nice balance between the two, because the reality is I just don't think you need someone walking you to Superman Escape for the 5th time in a row when ultimately a Fast Track wristband does the same thing. If it was Disneyland though, where the crowds are constantly insane and you'd be lucky to squeeze everything in on a good day, then there's some value I think.

$300 seems a little pricey to me, but the overall experience looks good. I did a similar thing at Busch Gardens Williamsburg a couple of years ago, cost about US$70 I think (meals weren't included, but we did walk to the top of Griffon). I feel like once you've seen the inside of one maintenance bay, they're all pretty much the same. Still I'll be interested to hear how it goes from those who've booked, should be fun!

Yeah - DW's behind the scenes is all about the animals, rather than the rides. Although I guess there isn't really much of DW's rides that are behind the scenes in the first place. They could do HWSW's lift hill, which at 40 metres beats out Arkham as the tallest. MW might be the 'first' to do a rollercoaster climb, but if DW were to add it, DW could claim the 'highest'

Why not TOT climb?

The maintenance cage isn't really designed for pleasure. it's not the easiest thing to get into or out of, still requires fall arrest, and probably shouldn't accommodate 10 people.

Besides, thats not really a 'TOT climb' is it?

It's worth noting that the original Von Roll tower design that Intamin uses had changed since Space Probe - basically Dreamworld Tower has steep stairs whereas the Space Probe had a lot of ladders.
