Tim Dasco
Hmmm I wonder if MW or anyone in Australia will ever be able to top a roller coaster for this size. Good luck MW's next roller coaster!
xRazzBerryx
Seems they were approved in July of 2016 by looking at that second photo. Also Burling Brown were responsible for the Penguin Encounter @ Sea World. http://www.burlingbrown.com/projects?t=Theme Edited March 13, 2017 by xRazzBerryx
Santa07
Something that intrigues me - there are 4 queue lines in the final photo - obviously one for main entry, one for fast track, and one for single riders - but what would the fourth one be used for? No use having a coaster you can ride but can't really get a good look at off ride, that's part of the fun of going to a park for me. Annoyingly a lot of our parks have gotten this wrong in the past, think of how hard it is to view most of Arkham Asylum, apart from the one good view inside the cage on exit, the best views of HWSW are from the waterpark, etc. The thing is though, that you won't be able to see most of the coaster from the park. Obviously when you drive in you will be able to, but when I've checked it out from th GL queue you can't see much past where the lift hill and drop will be because of all the trees and how large the site is. So you will see even less as you walk through the queue area as that's even further down. You may get snippets of the ride depending on the air time hills and any inversions and the height of them, otherwise not much. Not saying they should remove the trees, just saying that you may dissapointed about how much of the ride you can see from the queue.

Fire exit makes sense, or perhaps an entrance for staff. I wouldn't think it would be disabled access - would be kinda pointless to build a completely separate queue - just put a ramp in the fast track queue and put them through there. themagician
I don't think it would be fire exit, and that would be somewhere else. I think it would just be part of the general queuing
New display name
Every line within the entry and exit have disable access. Red: Tactile ground surface indicators. Blue: Landings + ramp max 1:14. Green: Handrails extend past ramp. All this indicates disable access. Yes I screwed up 1 red/blue arrow. jack.c
Oh! Awesome to see some plans have surfaced. Wouldn't mind seeing a more detailed track lay out though!
New display name
@djrappa If it is safe for a disabled person to enter an area you are required to provide access to it. The 4th line I don't think it would be a fire exit. Could it be a line to ride at the front of the train? themagician
And here it is. GL will be closed for maintenance on Monday 29th May and will re-open Saturday 24th June 2017. Im going to assume that this is when this area of the new coaster will be constructed.
New display name
Since the station has now been shown, I will add the elevations. What the elevations don't show is a roof over the path. Track into and out of station. Edited March 14, 2017 by YLFATEEKS
themagician
Well we've got the drawings, so we may as well get the theme and colouring...

That would take the fun out of trying to work it out. To answer your question if you were asking. I don't know what it is. If I was a guessing man I would say by looking at the station, very minimal. themagician
Hahaha yeah, I was only messing because I'm fully aware people can't reveal those details until an offical announcement. But as you say, now having seen the station layout, it doesn't seem like anything major, and there isn't much before the lift hill. But having said that, they have got the walkway leading up to the queue building, so they may do something similar to what they did for GL, and the queue line and track may be similar to what they did with Storm Coaster. I don't think that part is the best themed element of the ride, but the queue does set the scene of what's happening, and then once in the boat, the large screen shows a storm has hit. Hopefully MW do something pretty cool with the theming, but I think this ride will be all about the track, with its massive lift hill, turns, air time and maybe inversions. Not complaining in any way, as it's our first hyper coaster, and the scale of it is crazy. I can't wait to see what they do. New display name
I'm thinking GL level also. A part of me wants more but I don't think we can really complain.
JaggedJanine
This one includes a cover over part of what I believe is the entry queue. It is mostly all going to be Lysaght Colorbond roofing and fencing. Edited March 14, 2017 by JaggedJanine
Santa07
The station looks very open One half of me is happy, because that means it won't turn into the sweatbowl Superman's queue becomes in the summer The other half is disappointed because that points to theming being very limited in the queue and station. New display name
@JaggedJanine The far ramp has a roof and is the exit ramp. The ramp closest is the entry ramp and only has a roof half of the way. Going by that drawing you will be standing out in the sun while you wait. On the other hand it will be shady when you get off. New display name
LOL. The train travels from the left and comes out the right between the exit and entry ramps. Edited March 14, 2017 by YLFATEEKS

New display name
I knew you had it. The notes I added are for people who don't know the site. I was even going to google overlay it but I can't be bothered. I hope they are adding some shade over the entry ramp. JaggedJanine
It was built before I moved to Aus, So did GL have the shade over the queue when it was built or was that an after thought?
