  1. Past hour
  2. I'm not implying anything. I just didn't know MW had super powers.
  3. really hope those aren’t the finalised colours. if not, first ride-outside-a-ride opening july 2024!
  4. Implying that the "ride failure" is just a cover story for the refit of the queue area.
  5. Watching a few videos from @Ogre shows nobody is past main street, anything above is a ghosttown. Hopefully something comes to replace it, the hypothetical replacement also utilising the showstage is a plus.
  6. I’d say that Doomsday being removed is almost a certainty at this point. While at the park a couple of days ago, I noticed that the audio had been turned off around the Villains Unleashed area (because Movie World didn’t have enough areas without music already) and none of the effects were working. A temporary fence had also been set up around the base of DD, partially blocking the view of the attraction. The only other people in the area were what appeared to be MW/Village staff inspecting the site. Definitely a very eerie vibe, it felt like I wasn’t supposed to be there. At this point they might as well just close the whole area off, as it’s an embarrassment right now.
  7. Why isn't anyone asking, how do you have a theme update ready to go, in case the ride goes down for an extended period 🤔
  8. Honestly a bag of rocks has more intelligence than you. You comment about something you're not interested in watching, yet you question was answered in the exact thing you're not interested in. Also you don't need to pay to see the coaster.
  9. I get out every day, so I don't know what you are talking about, but I haven't been to MW for a year because MW isn't currently worth the ticket price. I'm also not interested in watching a video of excuses. What do they want me to do? Feel sorry for them and throw them a fifty.
  10. Today
  11. Hopefully we see Dreamworld step up and try match Village's social content, perhaps we might see some BTS from their "biggest investment ever"
  12. I'm assuming we're seeing both standby & fastback queues in this, hence two ramps. Sorted at the top of the ramps, place items in lockers then grouped at a door? Maybe I'm misinterpreting it?
  13. You probably should get out more, also the video literally shows the freshly painted section of track.
  14. I haven't seen any evidence MW have attempted to start to paint it. Has anybody seen people painting it?
  15. So, if I've interpreted the images correctly, the ride photos are being moved to the opposite wall near the external door, the storage will be where the ride photos are currently, and they're knocking out an opening between the end of the queue and the exit room (where fast trackers enter at the moment). Where the storage is going to be seems a little awkward. My thinking is you'd be expected to go drop your stuff before you line up at the door. The existing locker area looks elevated. Part of a new extended queue?
  16. I believe they said it’s a part failure, so while they wait for Intamin to arrive, they’re going to get a head start on the queue line upgrades. I'd imagine the 2 months was there to paint the coaster too? Also probably involved shuffling crews from other attractions to get the ride up quicker. Did they literally not provide information on both attractions?
  17. So it doesn't take 2 months to carry out the maintenance. 🤭
  18. They did also confirm DC Rivals will be reopening sooner than originally scheduled and the track repaint has been delayed to reduce the amount of ride closures
  19. MW have now confirmed that the queue will undergo a refurbishment to improve its theming and they’ve released some concept artworks
  20. It said that it is both, while they are repairing it they are also fixing up the queue
  21. Isn’t the reason why the ride is closed is because of updates to the queue and not a part failing?
  22. I feel confident that the zamperla track added to the ride was made to copy in every possible way the existing track of intamin such that there would be little noticeable differences between them. I don't think the track is in play here. All i've seen so far suggests that components are wearing out quicker than anticipated. Everything is pointing to the wheels reacting differently to expectations (maybe weight balancing with the non-uniform guests loaded into it is causing uneven issues to develop not picked up in water dummy testing?) Maybe the running surface of the wheel is wearing out too fast? Maybe the wheel itself is heating up and not dissipating the heat of the launch fast enough? Maybe a combination - heating up the compound causing the running surface to fail? The statements made by the park suggest they're redesigning something on the train. My money is somewhere in this ballpark.
  23. Just thinking about the closure, could it be that the wheels are compatible with the Zamperla track but not the Intamin track? I have been a bit sceptical of the ride when it was announced that it would use the Zamperla track but reuse the Intamin track.
  24. Unfortunately a part of Superman failing could be expected; its an old model that has been discontinued and a coaster hasn't been built in 14 years. XCelerator had issues around its 20 year anniversary with its launch and was closed for 18 months and we know what happened with Top Thrill Dragster and the hydraulic system was removed. Regarding with Doomsday "we are currently exploring options" seems that the ride ever opening is uncertain. It is likely they won't say anything and remove it later once WOZ is done based on the parks track record. With Scooby, its likely work hasn't been done because they needed to close the ride urgently, and Village would have to wait for Mack to finish with their other coasters before coming to work on Scooby, and nothing happening would mean they are still busy. Good to see DCR opening early, although they could just be saying that so people aren't as angry, Most likely a flat or a seating area but I would love for these to come: 1. Dark Ride, showstage building extended out to Doomsday to fit in a bigger ride with more scenes 2. Mack XTreme Spinning Coaster, you could have the launch go through Doomsday and the Showstage out behind Scooby. For theme I have been thinking either generic filmmaking or Mad Max.
