Track update 1.30pm: Two more pieces have been locked into place, one added to the climb making it even taller, and a curved part down low, further to the left (as per the positioning seen in the last pic) ๐๐14 points

Sorry guys, have been super busy working over the past week lol. Just popped into MW just now to snag some latest piccies of our monster of a creation ๐ Enjoy guys... Just outside Dreamworld now, so will have some updated pics to share of here as well shortly ๐7 points

I think before it opens they are likely to install another piece or two. I'd expect that to be all though.5 points

This hill could now be one of a few things: 1. A very awesome sideways airtime moment (the most likely) 2. A lead into a very awesome overbanked turn (possible, but if we don't see it banking any further we can rule this one out) 3. A very awesome zero-G roll (more unlikely since it looks quite drawn-out) Therefore, I can conclude that this element will be very awesome4 points

@Theme Park Girl The support going up in your photo is now finished and track added. Sorry, you can't tell by my photo but the new piece of track is starting to bank to the right. Also @Theme Park Girl support is behind the palm tree.4 points

I think another 5-7 metres until this element reaches its maximum height. Thoughts?3 points

Today's update (please excuse the window glare!) more wall theming and also signage going up: Also seems to be something happening out here, perhaps a seated terrace area for people to eat outside? Not sure if it's still opening this month or not. Haven't heard otherwise, but also doesn't look like it will be finished within the next week or two ๐ฎ What do you guys think?3 points

Got some more today whilst both on and off the train. Definitely a lot of mesh going up, including all around the walls inside that doorway - looks like it's definitely going to have cave or tunnel theming identical to that of the current lair on the other side ๐3 points

Took some pics of the Wipeout today. Hard to tell if much has changed since the last lot were shared of it, despite being nearly 3 weeks later ๐ ...although I did spot maintenance up there having a look at it on April 11th:3 points

I almost got the money shot this morning. I was having my morning coffee when the construction crew just started to lift the track that connects to the temporally braced support when it started to rain. They stopped the lift and I had ran out of time and had to go to work. 5 new containers were swapped over this morning and they opened the doors of 2 of the 5 doors while I was there. Both containers were ยฝ loaded with Mack crates and 1 piece of track that sat on top of the crates in each container.3 points

Thanks for the infoโบ Lol i don't give a shit about my rep ๐3 points

If you follow the top rails in my photo you can see the far rail goes to the bottom as it banks to the right. (The photo above) Even though the photo is super bad the support on the right was the highest support in @Theme Park Girl photo. The support on the left went up in the last couple of hours. They also added an extra piece of track. Some of the gangway that runs next to the brakes at the end of the ride was unloaded from containers today. @AllegroCrab at the moment it is still pointing towards the sky but i'm sure the downward dive is near.2 points

Perfectly reasonably if you can't get photos because of work commitments. TPSN seems to have no such commitments2 points

Meh. Wonka products aren't anything special. you'll find them in Aisle 5 of most supermarkets (cue those who have a different aisle number). Who cares if Dreamworld has more of the product. Theres no exclusivity with the product. it isn't licensed by or from WB, and nobody can blame MW for not having it - if i want to buy candy at a theme park, i don't want to buy something that will be overpriced (because a bottle of coke costs $5) that i can get elsewhere. When I worked at Wonderland, I would regularly visit the retail plaza after my shift. When I bought confectionery, it wasn't a regular off the shelf item - it was the giant lollipops and twisters - this sort of thing: give me something unique, and i'm more likely to buy it. for all I care they can get rid of all the wonka products entirely.2 points

Based on my attempt at joining-the-dots with track pieces I think it might look a little like this, but with the train going in the opposite direction to pictured: Particularly when you consider that we currently have piece 53 at the top of the hill, so piece 54 presumably would be the next to go in: Photo: @Glubbo1 point

That is going to stand out like crazy from the highway...it will be a calling card for the park the same way The Thunderbolt was for DW. @Skeeta did you happen to see if there were more supports already bolted together on the ground in that area? Just wondering if we will see the same amount of progress in this area tomorrow? Was looking at this great picture and with a bit of imagination gives a perspective of how high the ride will be at the lift hill, as it should be about level with Batwing Spaceshot in the background...can't wait. Thanks again for the pics @Theme Park Girl, awesome.1 point

Rarely, but sometimes, but I wouldn't be holding your breath on it.1 point

@Theme Park Girl thanks for the update. I'm thinking that top piece will then turn and drop down into that other piece installed. @jack.c Nope, they only update every few months, so probably won't see one until August/September1 point

Sweet @Theme Park Girl I'm digging the colours. With the next support going up its worth a look on the way home today.1 point

I know they've set the carpark up that way temporarily, but it strikes me that if they make that permanent, it would give them lots of expansion area over the old driveway...1 point

@Theme Park Girl, can your kids shed any light on the project yet? Or were they just contracted for Doomsday?1 point

Some extra photos of the first track piece being installed including one from a new angle taken from TPSN: It will be an exciting few months watching this coaster be put together.1 point

Here's some just simply amazing photos courtesy of your bros from OurWorlds & TPAGG. It's worth noting, the super out of date hipster photos are from OurWorlds, while the up to date shots are from TPAGG.1 point

The next piece has now been put in place, going up to the next support.1 point

I imagine it might be to do with the lift hills locations being so close to GL, and with it still being school holidays for some states, they don't want to close the ride when they can install other sections of the ride. It might also be because they don't need a massive crane just yet (or it might not be available yet) so they are starting with the lower sections of the track. So in conclusion, no idea.1 point

Her kids only dug the holes for Doomsday, so I imagine they've only done the same for the coaster.0 points
