  2. Ok mate, we got it first time, you've done that (And pure imagination) to death now...

  3. Long-time lurker, first time poster (fair call if you take this with a grain of salt) - staff friends/family are on the ride as we speak putting the ride through it's paces (planned stoppages) for an imminent opening. I'd imagine the newish C-Suite want a firm date to announce at Ardent's Annual General Meeting on Friday.

  4. Yeah you can make jokes nobody said you couldn't. But it's not a joke, you're literally just spamming the same shaded seating joke over and over . and it's too repetitive.

  5. What is this utter nonsense!? but my banner at the front there looks good!

  6. This is an interesting story coming out of Germany where a new ride has been closed, and will be redesigned, due to the appearance of the ride being compared to a swastika. https://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/incidents/german-theme-park-forced-to-shut-down-new-ride-after-people-realised-it-looked-like-flying-swastikas/news-story/4b16890710a64d85b5761e3d89a4862e

  7. You know when you rearrange the letters of "Mother-in-law" you get the words "Woman Hitler".

  8. Don't worry, I have tipped off the RSPCA.

  9. Yes, because of the additional belts, filtration, and the precise water injection system that syncs with when rafts are fed in.

  10. You have quite the imagination, don't you?

  11. Just put in one of these with some awesome theming- the video does not do the speed of this river justice- its an awesome attraction that would be great for soaking up the crowds!!

  12. I reckon you could entice people to that part of the park by having actual rides open, and by having more broad attractions available, not just high thrill. Dunno, Fast n Fresh operated in the H²O zone and failed, and I don't think its worth inconveniencing guests by making a certain portion of them use an off centre locker location. On the vast majority of days the front ones will fill first and the back ones will sit dormant. On the busy days, well you don't need to worry about the H2O zone filling up, because it will anyway

  13. How does all that effort increase per caps though? I mean eeewww, I don't want to be stuck with a crap locker miles from the heart of the park. Water parks have different rules to dry parks and it really does make sense to keep lockers and food centralised,

  14. @StingRay Im not sure how well a food outlet would do down in the H²O zone given the distance from the lockers....it would have to rely heavily on splash cash sales.

  15. They just need something new and do some refurbishments throughout the park. A new precinct, or expansion of H20 Zone would be good. Replace Mach 5 with a couple new slides and maybe even something to replace WnW Buggy. All of the food and retail is at the front of the park, so open some new ones at the back and provide a more inviting seating spaces. They are mostly just tents, add some character to the area. Resurface some areas and definitely fix the toilets/changing rooms. Calypso Beach is my favourite part of the park. It's got some character, theme and feels like you are some where else. Take the ideas and design style and spread it through the park.

  16. Change up Splash Cash to be like MagicBands with a link to a regular card, that way you’re not loading money on or having to recover what you didn’t spend when you’re done for the day. And maybe start trying to put a theme in to an area. Disney have a water park based on winter, Universal’s is based around a Volcano, so the net is pretty wide. I’d just like to see either some shade over the concrete footpaths, or misters keeping it wet so you don’t burn your feet walking between attractions.

  18. Seems like a Lazy River on Steroids! I think it looks like a lot of fun but too similar to what WnW already have. I think this "not-so Lazy River" would be perfect at WWW - just with some nice landscaping and not the ridiculous enclosures etc that were previously planned.

  19. Road Runner is fine. Its a great kids coaster ( kids being the keyword here). removing it would be a shame. It is themed really well and has a kick-ass run and includes a ride photo. Capacity became an issue once the seat belts were installed but this was required due to the stopping power that brake has at the end of the run. A little rattle shouldn't mean its gotta be removed. Rivals has a rattle also 😲. Better remove it.

  20. I genuinely think it will be great. I lowkey love family raft slides because of all the hangtime, and I love Tantrum (Tornado 24) slides for the rocking movements, this will have that, plus the bizzare sensation of never truly knowing when your raft will be sucked into the next section. (It's also got a pretty significant ride time)

  21. Roadrunner has plenty of life in it yet. Whats the reason for removing it? If we are honest, its probably the best attraction in the kids section. Its a no from me.

  22. I don't get where all this craziness came from, post TRR tragedy that Log Rides were dangerous! Log Rides have been ridden by people all over the world, for generations, with few serious accidents. Many [most?] serious accidents stem from stupid people doing what they do 100% naturally...being stupid! > Keep your arms and legs inside the boat > Do NOT stand-up No Phd required......so...Enhance the DW Log Ride, put some serious theming in it. Vikings Revenge was a SW legend....turbo charge them both....I'd imagine SW's might need a complete rebuild, not been there in a few years. Aussie parks not giving me too many reasons to visit these days.... 😟 I just don't see the quality in the presentation...it was there once....but struggling now!

  23. How could the designer possibly have made such an obvious error, especially when the ride's in Germany?

  24. I had an Acorn Electron computer in 1987 that was probably just about capable of performing the calculations relevant to that. It's not beyond the capabilities of todays technology.

  25. Well I'm sorry if you're all offended, but when I have friends at the other side of the world planning a very expensive holiday on the basis of information I've given them, I do not want to have to tell them I was wrong. However, I do also realise all of your opinions are extremely important, and all of you are far superior to me, so how dare I be so arrogant as to make a joke.

  26. PLEASE don't say they've cancelled the shaded seating area! It's the reason I renewed my pass this year, and I've got some friends in the UK who've promised their young kids a holiday to Australia when the shaded seating area opens. I'd hate for the kids to be disappointed.

  27. Thanks .. perhaps dreamworld outsourced these requirements to appease wphs to brogent ? It’s typical. ( ie transurban outsources development risks to contractors by seeking fixed price contracts ) As a result of delay there may have been a financial compensation arrangement perhaps. This may not of been under dreamworlds control.

  28. That's an awesome idea! I reckon it'd be even more exciting if it had some shade as well.

  29. If I had to guess, I'd say it'll open in 4 months and 6 days from now. Just some numbers that came to mind.
