  5. Different manufacturer, the nitro is a Zamperla discovery and I’m not sure who makes the Extreme Thriller but it looks like a knock of on KMGs Freak Out ride design. Having done both of them yesterday the Extreme thriller pushes you downwards with a lot of force similar to the Intamin gyro swing and Nitro slowly pushes you out with more floater airtime.

  7. Although the term imagineer isn't an exclusive disney term, it is synonymous with Disney. WBMW is about as far from imagineering as you can get. I'm all for them fixing it up and all, but i doubt its worth the investment honestly. They can't even maintain what they have. Also, projection mapping isn't the new buzzword and it shouldn't be applied to every attraction. With few indoor spaces suitable to it, it's not really an option. Be careful what you wish for though - lest we end up with Wild West Falls Next Generation.

  8. None. Australian carnies have purchased way too many of this type of ride.

  12. Oh Joy! Decades old and still one of the greatest thrills on the midway, bar none. Not sure if we even still get the Zipper on the East Coast?

  14. Just when you thought that there was a Museum for everything, life comes and slaps you in the face. The World's First Vagina Museum will open in London on November the 16th. Please see the below link for the full story. https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/uk-vagina-museum-london-scli-gbr-intl/index.html I must admit, when I first read this I cracked up. I mean seriously, a Museum for Vaginas!! But the more I thought the more I could see that there is a hole in the market for something like this. Someone has worked years to get this off the ground, beavering away tirelessly to make it happen. Now it is here and they are ready to pull apart the beef curtain and let visitors enter. Oh i am sure this will have its detractors- there is always someone caught up in a flap but I reckon this will be a massive success. What do you guys reckon?? 😉

  15. The refurb of Scooby is alright but it needs improvement including lighting needs to be better on the animatronics, in the lift the tv should run from the floor of the lift to the top of the frame or ceiling. The final drop should still include the Scooby Doo animatronic. It's just basic things that would make this ride up to standard again.

  16. I did too. Which is crazy because everything I say is pretty much spot on. Sure, might not always be in English but still spot on.

  18. To put any speculation as to the location of Thunderbolt in relation to WhiteWater World and the AVPX Tented area to rest here is a quick photoshop overlay of Thunderbolt over the park at 10/11/12 Getting back on topic the expansion for WhiteWater World was approved by the GCCC this will however more than likely involve the movement of the laser tag area due to it encroaching on it. It just seems really weird to have something gone to all the effort of being lodged with council, amended, approved then nothing happen. Can safely say the park is needing something new to attract guests as Aqualoop and Constrictor are two good reasons for going to Wet'n'Wild over WhiteWater.

  21. I'd love to see Movie World really invest in Wild West Falls. I know they probably won't because it's not new and all that, but unless they're planning to close it soon I think it's really worth a bit of investment. It soaks up the crowds (quite literally) and a really good experience with something new there would have a lot of guests leaving with significantly better thoughts. At the very least, fix all the effects so they work reliably and they're timed properly. Ideally add a few new surprises. Maybe animatronic. Maybe even projection mapping (and not like on SDSCNG). Potentially, with some great imagineering, they could retheme it to a well known movie with appropriate scenes, and it would be virtually a new ride.
