  1. Happy to report that the WWF queue now has numerous bins throughout, and the scenes of a week ago with rubbish strewn everywhere are gone. I did email the photos i took to park management, however I am sure they were already aware of the issue, just glad something has been done

  2. See I walk into Sea World and see an absolute mess of a construction site for an uninspired ride that 100% should never have been built in that location.

  4. The pathway upto the ride is now all open, the ride itself is ofcosrse hoarded up. In terms of the new rides, when I was there for the Christmas event, they had signage indicating a new coaster was coming soon.

  5. Finally watched all 6 eps and it's just so great to see - it's the kind of thing every single person in theme park management has to see. Maybe not necessarily to try and be the next knock-off Walt Disney but rather to get a crash course in how quality, park-plussing and authenticity really matters to folks, no matter how subtle it is.

  6. Maybe it has been delayed due to someone stealing some of the blocks for a bookcase

  9. Adventure World held the first of its four AW Nights for January on Saturday Night from 6.30-11 pm. Entry was through the prepaid ticket gate off the main car park. There were a couple of greeter characters, like my friend Magnus Danger Magnus and some dancing girls. The band from last year returned as well as a guy playing the steel drums. They had a lady with glow in the dark hula hoops, a juggler and a fire twirler on a Segway. There were a number of food trucks, a pop up bar and the usual food outlets open. Kahuna Cafe actually did table service. It was a pretty quiet night as these events tend to get more popular as they go on. Most of the rides were open with the exception of the Dragons Kingdom kids’ area.

  11. Even though it's something so simple, it's great to see the park are actually addressing problems like this. It can be so easily solved but our parks have a history of not making simple changes like this.

  12. From what I'm aware, the ride was ordered and organised right before the new changes came into play. AW has been scrambling since. Someone on here might have a more concrete answer but this is coming from my days on PCL when we were in talks with the park about their upcoming plethora of rides that was planned.

  13. I would say they bought the ride prior to changes in requirements for safety systems and now have to try and go through a whole bunch of hoops to bring up the ride they’ve brought to meet the new requirements.

  15. So have contacted Aussie World regarding the SX360 and it will not be open anytime soon, according to the info I received. I will be visiting the park in the next 2 weeks and they certainly indicated that the ride will NOT be open within this timeframe. This is taking an monumentally large amount of time and despite the "it takes a long time to commision a comlex ride at times" spin from the park, it appears that SOMETHING is holding up the long stagnating official opening. Would anyone care to speculate just exactly what is holding up this ride? Does anyone feel that it is a fault with the ride or the installation or is it just the due process that needs to now occur in the wake of the TRR tragedy by the state government assessors? We will still be visiting the park and will provide a full trip report , its just a shame that we willl not be able to include any ride experiences from the SX360.

  19. To make way for The Reef, an expansion of the existing Castaway. And it has proven to be much more popular than the original water park. What was left of the water park was outdated and didn’t suit a theme park.

  20. It just fell into their lap and timing worked out perfect. Suddenly we get a balls to the wall coaster within 12 months. I thought it was already mentioned on here but possibly not. It was definitely an Asian park. I thought it was somewhere in China but SK is very possible.

  22. So this just showed up in the latest Nearmap update from Gumbaya world... So looks like the Plunge will ride again! Image is from October, and it's unlikely that we'll see this up in time for the park's opening - so likely will be a 'new attraction' for next season 2018\19...

  23. Is anyone actually excited for this new addition to Seaworld? Is this truly the best use of a nice flat plot of land? Is a splash zone something that Seaworld is in dire need of at this point? I really am stumped that this project got the go ahead....seaworld is in a dire need of a new major attraction or even a new themed area with 1 or 2 dry rides. Am I the only one who is thinking this?
