  1. I'm at Dreamworld right now. Cub Kindy are is looking good. There's a new wooden frame around the non hidden parts to the Kevil hill facade suggesting it's going to be hidden. Diesel train is running again (sadly).

  3. So much I didn't know about Arrow, especially its relationship with the early days of Disneyland. This is essential viewing. Man, they were so 'milking the elephant'!

  4. Hahah thread about "little things that annoy you" then a member gets shot down for posting something little that annoys them! FWIW those lights normally are not left up all year round.

  6. Just watched it and can I say that it was truly amazing how much Arrow has shaped the coaster industry. I think we're pretty lucky to have one, even if its a bit rough.

  8. You are perfectly correct, WorldFun in stating that the steam engine will not take longer to prepare for a day's run because it is old. Does my 50 year old car take longer to start than your one year old car?? Certainly not. No matter how old or new the engine is, it will take the same time to prepare. A lot of "smoke and mirrors" and red herrings are put forth by individuals who do not have a clue about the facts, or are trying to invent some impediment. Dreamworld allows the driver 2 hours to prep the steam engine of a morning - oiling, greasing, lighting the fire, refueling, raising steam. A brand-new steam engine would take the same time. So, any suggestion that the steam engine takes longer to get ready because of age is pure nonsense.

  10. I just thought of something - Movie World - the hand dryer in the men's toilet near the front of the park. Been broken since at least Fright Nights.

  11. That sounds like you were seeing floats from the parade. I tend to see the Justice League and Joker one frequently when on WWF.

  13. Let's start with HKDL first - Very picturesque little park, climate certainly helps with keeping everything green & lush. I can understand why the park would have been underwhelming when it first opened (especially to anyone who had visited the other Disney parks). The three most recent expansions have certainly helped it become a full day park, and I definitely needed the extra day due to the CNY crowds. The pending Iron Man attraction will help even more. Do wonder what impact Shanghai will have though. That aside, Adventureland is pretty barren with attractions, and Fantasyland is disappointingly short on dark rides. Mystic Manor is a wonderful attraction and proof Disney can still come up with entertaining original IPs. I also enjoyed Grizzly Gulch, I've seen a few unfavourable reviews which usually compare it to Big Thunder, can't say I totally agree with them. Front row is best row. Top marks to Mickey and the Wondrous Book, although the constant switching between English and Cantonese (with English captioning) made it a little confusing at times. Both parades were great, nice touch incorporating parts of the Electrical Parade soundtrack in Paint the Night. Was quite chilly on the second day, I'd love to know how many $20 blanket sales Disney sold. One thing I was surprised to find out was that they don't sell normal Mickey Mouse Ear Hats, mostly just hair band style ones. My ear hat collection therefore remains untouched... Some unprofessional photos -

  15. Sea World / Movie World. Do I really have to buy a locker to ride a rollercoaster? Have you heard of loose item boxes? ALL PARKS - Does water need to cost the same as a soft drink?
