Well people. It's pink!

I've never been to Las Vegas before, but a family visit in Late February and early march gave me a chance to finally check this destination off the list. It's better city than I thought it would be, but carries a similar feel to many other touristy places in the US I felt. I did all the main rides in Vegas itself. I wouldn't have minded riding Desperado either, but that is only open Friday/Saturday/Sunday, which didn't work with my dates. First off Adventuredome https://www.parkz.com.au/parks/US/Las_Vegas/Adventuredome It is located a the back of Circus Circus, which is pretty seedy feeling (But hey, I won $175 there so not gonna be too harsh on the place). The park itself is clean and tidy, the building looks a bit 80s (But was completed in 1993), it was fairly quiet (Many rides I was the only person onboard) and arcade machines take up all the spare floor space. It has a few standard flat rides, such as a Chaos, pirate ship, dodgems, frog hopper, carousel etc etc. There was also a drop tower called Sling Shot, which reminded me a bit of the one at Adventure World, with a fast launch up, and a controlled descent that wasn't that intense. Canyon Blaster is a large model loopscrew (The next size up from Sea Viper) so for that you get an extra loop plus a helix at the end. It ran the same trains that Cyclone had, but it wasn't that rough at all really. The thing really got moving, despite the first drop looking quite small. It was kinda cool how the whole floor of the theme park vibrated a bit every time the thing ran. Did about 3 rides. The only other thing I rode was El Loco, which is, you guessed it, an S&S el loco. Compared to green lantern, it felt a bit quicker, but definitely did bang around a bit more at a couple of points. The trains had speakers, but no onboard audio was working. The first part of the ride was similar enough ) to Green Lantern up until the 2nd block brake. (Same elements, but the first drop crosses diagonally under the main structure, and the first curved incline is banked a bit better. All felt very familiar, but I literally do not know what they were thinking when they did the dive loop on this one. Surely it could have been more flowing: The last bit of the ride is completely different, and sort of runs off away from the compact first part. Theres a bit of an outward banked turn, and another little banked section, and then another dive loop, but the bottom of the dive loop has brakes, so as soon as it finishes you are back at the station. Overall, It was a really good little coaster! I did 4 laps.

Already done my trip down, and it definitely is pink and not just the lighting. The second photo really shows how bright it is. And these are pieces 55 and 56, based off the numbering at the end of the track. Work happening everywhere today, not just in the carpark (Roof is continuing its installation). Bobcats doing some digging towards TopGolf part of site, and near lift hill.

Barbie does have quite ... large... airtime hills...

@MickeyD True... but if they were gonna go with another DC ride (which we kinda knew they were going to due to the coasters placement, and their obvious preference in DC theming over recent years) at least they have decided to play a major card here - no pun intended lol. The Joker is arguably the most infamous, well known and recognisable villian out of their entire DC Universe. If they were gonna go DC, then in my opinion they have made an excellent choice! Although I still did have my heart set on this.... (Still haven't given up hope yet. Would be the ultimate troll) ??

Ok this is the problem. Before the track started to turn up we all said "can't wait until the track turns up because the colour will tell us the theme" Problem: We can't even agree on what colour it is.

Best I can do with my S6! My Canon is still packed away after moving lol. Will have to dig it out sometime this week.

9pm zero new containers on site. Did find 1 security guard who gave me what you doing look.

Thanks @YLFATEEKS & @Theme Park Girl for the scientific proof haha Thought magenta as soon as I saw it. It certainly does look 'different' in person than in most of the photos to me. Maybe the gloomy weather/cloud cover playing Havoc.

Hahaha love how we've gone from watching grass grow and then getting excited over it being cut, to watching the track arrive, get excited and now we are trying to figure out its CMYK values and it's exact colour.

Dude This coaster is going to look fucken sick, really digging the pink/purple track. Personally i hope we get black supports to go with it

I love how that article basically says "yeah there's some rollercoaster track and it's going to be big" and then goes on to blabble on about TopGolf.

Agree @MickeyD your flagship, and probably the greatest rollercoaster in the country for the foreseeable future, isn't going to be themed to a bit-part hero or villain that only an avid dc fan would know. It will be a mainstream property to appeal to the masses, advertise more easily and sell more merch. on that conclusion, it's really Joker or nothing unless a very unlikely re-paint occurs.

@themagician well that's nice to know they are ok with it! I guess I'm just a bit paranoid because I was pulled up and questioned a while back whilst walking around the perimeter of the coaster site taking pics. Although I think that the bloke were more paranoid about me being mainstream media of some sort. He seemed satisfied when I told him I was just a theme park enthusiast who was excited about the latest development for MW lol ☺️?

It was apparently ment to be themed to suicide squad but with what happened at Dreamworld they have changed the theme.

Standing at my desk at work as I can see where the Gateway motorway joins the M1 to see if there are more trucks heading past... Probably should be focusing on the calls more though...

Pink is definitely not Wonder Woman, that colour is not linked to her at all. its gotta either be a Joker Coaster and the part itself is more purple than pink, and there will be green sections to come with it... or .... i have nothing...

Suicide Squad?

And I think we have a winner for one of the stupidest posts to date.

Six flags is in a MUCH larger market, with a lot more comic book reads per capita compared to Australia (don't ask me for stats, I'm basing it on physical comic book store #s) The majority of the other heroes and villains are represented by rides amongst their parks, so they are running out of ideas/themes i don't believe Bizarro has ever been the theme of the signature/flagship coaster in any park, it's been on a supplemental attraction. Bizarro is a terrible idea.

I think @Brad2912 was more right. By your code. I turned it to cmyk values and we get 70% magenta.

Just did a drive-by. I'm with @Brad2912 It's not pink. It's purple with a pink tinge or pink with a purple tinge. We could have a debate forever on what the colour is.

@Theme Park Girl Having my camera with my big lens didn't help me, so there wasn't any hiding. When they were first inspecting, they gave me a wave as I was taking a picture. After that I just waited until they did something else.

Umm no that is not what I am saying. I was saying that @mattcrombie is usually a reliable source. You don't have to go changing the paint scheme but the name may have been changed from "Suicide Squad' to something similarly related.

@mattcrombie has a reputation for accuracy at parkz. Even though we don't hear much from him anymore he is usually a reliable source?

Why not use it? The timber they place under the track is packing timber that was used during shipment. They don’t go out and buy timber to keep the coaster off the ground they use whatever is around.

Lol. I'm actually surprised that the media bandwagon hasn't jumped on this yet. Just had a look at the GC Bulletin's FB page, and nothing. Suppose it's only a matter of time before they rock up on MW's doorstep... then again, I suppose only "breakdowns" get their attention these days as opposed to new coaster parts ?

If any of our parks are looking for a good family coaster, they should definitely give GCI a call because this looks like a fantastic family ride. As a thrill ride, it's obviously not going to amaze anyone, but I don't know if you can get much better for a family coaster.

Wish I could comment here but wouldn't be wise. There is so much fake stuff thus union sprouts though. I bet village would love to have the 80 million profit they keep saying they do. Any of us that read the financial results know the real truth through.
