  2. Went on Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed the night. The fast track for the mazes was 100% worth the money. Longest we waited was 10 mins. Heres a video from around the park that night if anyone is interested

  3. If this was a year ago I'd agree with you, but MW and even DW surpass the quality of parks like La Ronde. Now I havent been to La Ronde but judging from the photos the presentation of MW and DW these days is much better than this park that has the trademark Six Flags tacky feel.

  5. Thinking waaay back to when Wipeout was built, DW started levelling the area as late as September and still had no trouble opening it well in time for the busy Xmas season. I know that was a long time ago, but remember (like Wipeout) this is an otherwise transportable pre-fabricated mid-way ride. The biggest part of it's construction is getting the site ready (level, footings placed, electrical wiring, landscaping etc). Once all is properly prepared you can expect the ride system itself will get slapped up practically overnight.

  6. Travelling kiddy pirate ship was in that location. Was on loan from Joyland's. Breakdance and Ranger are both showing really old age. Both have been in Brisbane together for Expo 88 and have had a decent run here in Sydney. But its time for a good quality replacement.

  7. Just a quick update and some interesting info- Mystery Manor will close permanently at Luna Park 3rd of November. The appeal and popularity of this attraction surprised even Luna Park- this was meant to be a temporary Halloween walkthrough attraction , however, it proved so popular that it has stayed open for close to 4 years now. The quality of the theming, the excellent actors all made this in house attraction a winner. Now that its closing for good, it certainly augers well for a new attraction to take its place. Given its location at the back of Maloney's Corner, it occupies a fair bit of real estate that could be used for a substantial attraction. ( hint hint Maurer Sohne Spinning Coaster) Given the success of Volare, its time for LPS to once again move forward with their $25 million ride reinvestment plans. Here's hoping that this is the first signs of that coming to fruition. Fingers crossed!

  8. Definitely. Seeing these before and after pics shows how bad they had gotten over the last 14 years. The Rip looks so much nicer, hopefully they have refurbished inside the bowl too (I’m sure they have). I can’t wait to see the little rippers and temple of Huey once they are done because they are looking the worst with all the bird shit and dirt

  9. Apologies if this has been a topic before, but thought It would be really interesting to talk about. Also keep in mind theming and naming too for the attraction you would wish. Mine would be: MOVIEWORLD: A Wonder-Woman themed RMC Raptor coaster, like the coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. "Wonder-Woman's Lasso" Remove the JL attraction and use the space for something else, create a highly detailed indoor Justice League coaster dark ride coaster, preferably similar in layout to Revenge of the Mummy. "Justice League: The Invasion" (could be inspired by the old attraction) LUNA PARK SYD: Compact Eurofighter coaster with a carnival/circus theme could be really cool. I imagine a bright yellow or bright red track. "Carnivale" Would be excited to know your ideas!

  10. I'm surprised nobody has pointed out the biggest tragedy of this entire change - the loss of the batmobile!

  11. Why are people being an ass to Dylan? Rather then telling him to "Unsubscribe" why don't you advise him on how to do things better? He is obviously keen to learn and ask questions. Is that not what this forum is for?

  12. Village Roadshow recently cited a heatwave for the poor performance of a water park. 👍🏻

  13. If I had a dollar every time someone on these forums complained about ToT’s extended downtime, I’d have enough money to knock the ride down and upgrade the giant drop.
