You get to the front of the queue line, and there's Greg in full horror moulage with a sign stating the ride is closed permanently, while he 'Dr Evil' laughs devilishly, telling you it was all part of their Hallowe'en event experience, and the ride is closed forever!5 points

Here's some statistics: 49. Total number of posts you've made. 36. Total number of firmly negative reactions you've had. 20. Total number of fountain reacts. 16. Total number of nauseating reacts 9. Total number of likes. 25. Number of days since you said Tower of Terror wasn't going anywhere Now, looking back over your posts, you do seem to have expressed genuine interest, and even shared your opinion on some interesting topics that contributed nicely to the discussion, but the other half of your content seems to be baseless statements that are super critical, without any real backing or substance. So, you may be a really clever troll, or you may be genuinely trying to participate in discussion without realising the impact some of your wild statements are having. At the risk of taking the troll bait, if that's what you're doing - i'm going to try and genuinely offer some advice, rather than just flaming you and starting a bitch fight. Unfortunately on Parkz, the negative is always remembered way more than any positive contributions, and you aren't doing yourself any favours. I see one person has already chosen to block you. So here's the thing - if you're expressing an opinion, state it as such. Add a little substance to what you're saying. If you think something will get removed, say why. likewise if you think it'll stay. We've all been wrong from time to time, but usually if the evidence supported our conclusions at the time, its justifiable as to why we held that opinion. Saying such things like 'bulldoze the monorail' with nothing else doesn't help. The artist impressions of Atlantis show the monorail clearly working its way through the new area, so the basis of your statement is a little jarring. Did you make that statement purely on the basis that it has an open ended maintenance period published? Because the alternative - that it is closing so that construction can commence in that area - is a much more plausible explanation, given those artist impressions. Likewise, as the adage goes, never show a fool an incomplete job - the slides are currently being constructed. As mentioned above, there are still support pieces in the carpark. As for the slides 'being very short' - check the concept art. that may help you visualise a bit better. Hopefully, i've not wasted my time. For everyone else - never fear. I'm sure i'll let loose a spray next time.5 points

Adventure World does fright nights on Hallowe'en now? Wow. That's groundbreaking compared to the last time they ran a fright nights. Who would have thought doing a scary event during Hallowe'en? You heard it here folks. If you're visiting, wait until Tim hits the waterslides, then grab his bag and run! You should always pre-heat your oven before entering the Mazes. Enjoy the trip @Aimsley81 - look forward to hearing your TR!3 points

First of all, if this post belongs under another topic please close this. In true Amy fashion, I have decided to do a spur of the moment trip to Perth on Thursday - just to visit Adventure World. I’m also planning on going to their Fright Nights event on Thursday night (tickets already booked 😊). I’ve never been to Adventure World before let alone Perth, so I was hoping someone might give me some tips eg: do I need a locker or are there storage bins on the rides, etc I’m super excited about finally getting to visit as I’ve been trying to get there for over a year and a half and it just didn’t happen. Thanks in advance! Amy2 points

Agreed. The restraints on Buzzsaw are too bulky and press down on my rib cage to the point where I can hardly breathe. It's also surprisingly rough for an otherwise straightforward layout. HWSW gives me a headache and the exit from the 2nd inversion hurts your lower back. Shit ride at DW and it was equally shit when at LP Sydney. My now 50 year old sister never ride another Coaster again after we did it in Sydney, so there you go. Arkham just puts a bit of pressure on your thighs upon braking. Maybe I am biased because I opened LW and have ridden that coaster more than just about anyone but since Kumbak replaced the seats and restraints I actually find it fine. Surprisingly, It's also 2nd favourite Coaster at MW for many, while detested by the rest. Definitely the most polarising major Coaster on the Coast! HWSW will go before AA does. I'd give AA 5 more years. HWSW 2-3 years tops.2 points

Sky Voyager was something that Dreamworld needed in their ride lineup, but it wasn’t an attraction that was going to bring the crowds back like a major thrill ride would have.2 points

I get the sense, if they got the ride pic, it may not even open again... that'd be the souvenir worth keeping2 points

Give me Arkham over HWSW, Buzz and Storm every day. Tbh I prefer it to GL as well..2 points

At the park today. TOT is down, greeter not sure whether it will be opening today. God I’m going to be pissed if I don’t get one last ride today. Update: there is a cherry picker working at the base of the tower. Unsure wether he is working on the track or just the netting underneath. The work is also putting GD out of action for the time being. Update 2: looks like ride op is doing start up ops, so we might be in luck.2 points

The need to put some money into the kids area. It used to be a such a great part of the park and its really old and average now. It never recovered from the looney tunes river ride being taken away.2 points

I’d be super happy with the reintroduction of Dive In movies with a post-4pm entry price over summer on movie nights. negligible capital wise unless the projector needs replacing but they can no doubt source one relatively easily1 point

Thanks @Tim Dasco!! When I go to my local parks, I take a mini backpack (you know the Loungefly ones?). Would that require a locker at Adventure World or OK for the ride bins? I had little bit of an issue when I went to SF Discovery Kingdom In 2017 and I’ve been wary of it since. I certainly have - didn’t want to miss out! I booked 9:45pm. I also bought a fast pass for the night so I can do some rides. @AlexB I know right? 😀 But Movie World’s Fright Nights are already done for the season so gotta give kudos to Adventure World for knowing when Halloween is. I’m really interested to know what the ‘contamination zones’ are!1 point

easily? I mean if we're going to start picking the worst coasters on the coast, I don't think it's "easy" to put Arkham at the bottom. MDMC, Buzzsaw, HWSW, Storm... these four immediately come to mind as being pretty poor examples. I won't rank them beyond saying for me, they're all at the bottom.1 point

Soarin has better presentation (queue area, preshow) but personally feel as though the ride experience they are both great especially given both parks respective budgets. Between the two you're essentially comparing a Toyota Corolla to a Tesla Model S, they both do the same thing just one has a bit more polish and refinement due to additional cost. We should be considering ourselves lucky the park took a risk with an attraction like this and to have something remotely like Soarin locally.1 point

Well, that sucked. I've been to Adventure World and a bunch of other places that aren't on the list. Someone needs to realise that Australia is more than just the eastern seaboard. I can't actually complete the form.. 😡🤢🤮1 point

Pretty sure everyone said that about Sea Viper too. I'm inclined to agree here. This corner of ocean parade is really terrible. The entrance to the coaster is down a ramp you almost don't see until you're directly in front of it, thanks to the Brock building. It is not the "Grand entrance" you expect a full size coaster, and clearly a signature of the park seen from the highway, to have. WWW needs some space to expand - the former thunderbolt site is clearly already earmarked for some development, but the lazy river is likely to take up a lot of that space, leaving the park again landlocked for further development. We all know waterpark attractions are much cheaper to build, and utilising the HWSW space for additional slides would really bring WWW to the front of 'waterparks' on the gold coast. WnW is screaming for a new attraction, and WWW would nail them to the wall if they brought some new slide towers to that space. It would also allow them to better present the land transition from Ocean Parade to WWW, as the current gate is woeful.1 point

Structure don't look very high. Slides look like they going to be very short0 points

It's an intamin and it's been going since 2005. They aren't too reliable when they get to a certain age with their launches, hence, TOT.0 points

Just sent a photo of the new concrete slab by the wave pool to Bikash and he said an announcement would be made soon. By the looks of it new slides are coming 🤞0 points

I said to a staff member last night that I wanted to be the very last person to ride it and he turned around and said not sure why you would want to be that one "we aren't spending anymore money on this ride, wheels may have fallen off by then"0 points
