Unlike TRRR - which had a large water reservoir in the centre of its envelope, Rocky Hollow's footprint has the water reservoir at one end. Not counting the concrete trough, the rest of the envelope (about 5000sqm) wouldn't need time to 'settle' at all. The water reservoir in the top left of the above picture (including the flume loop) is only about 2000sqm of the site, and if I remember correctly, the section inside the flume loop is concreted, isn't it? So depending on what they plan to do, with the appropriate compaction and civils work, there isn't really a lot of 'settling' most of the land could do. My money is on this becoming a 'pleasant' area to look at as guests walk down the path to corroboree for now, with possible expansion down the track if they have the money to do so (by by gosh its ripe for a mad little woodie).

I don’t think so. I imagine the land there is going need to settle for a bit. I believe they are also clearing around Trolls Village, so it is good to see Dreamworld getting a clean up.

Just found a translated version of a French interview with peeps from Intamin, It was from last year, but offers the specs of the Big Dipper I haven’t seen before! Idk if this had been shared here before? But I found it on Reddit. Apparently will have a height of around 24m and track length of 600m which is interesting. They did change the speed to 72km/hr, so obviously these stats might change, but they give a fairly good insight on what the Hot Racer is all about. As long as what needs to be worked on isn't in the way I don't see any reason why they would delay something like that when they don't have a real reason too. If it means the ride is opening sooner I am all for them working on two things at once.

VQ is/has always been free, during peak however time slots can run out as early as 12:00pm. You also cannot reserve a ride if it is temporarily closed for example. The paid “One Shot” between $5-$15 per person per ride is avaible both during peak and off peak.

Is it back to being free? Last I checked the option was disabled and replaced with "pay xxx to get on now!"

Using your dash cam footage would have been a lot safer.

Still some pieces making their way to Dreamworld; Spotted these track sections heading through Ormeau at 6:50 this morning.

Something DW could do is: Sell collectible items from the ride enclosed in something like the picture. They could be items such as a 5cm square of the conveyor belt, a smaller cut from a wooden beam in a memorable part of the ride, that sort of thing. If they had a set of say 4 items from parts of the ride, they could sell the set for a hundred or two, and make a little bot of money.
