  1. Great to see they are starting to enclose the main Tornado of The Perfect Storm! Thanks for finding & sharing that for us, @TomiJ! Also, I like how ProSlide has a model of Jamberoo's Funnel Web/The Perfect Storm combination (minus the enclosure of The Perfect Storm's main Tornado) at the IAAPA Attractions Expo: Image: Theme Park Review

  2. Updating myself: just had my mum take a couple of photos of the old photos, she's not very technological, so they're a bit crap, and I'll try myself when I get my hands on them, but here's a sample: I had a seriously bad 80s kids haircut btw.

  4. I've heard similar stories from a friend who works there. One thing is for sure is when they do reopen, both parks are gonna be in the best visual nick we have seen them in a while. So much gardening, maintenance and other TLC going on ??

  5. Lets talk about what Water Slides or anything that needs or what you want. I think Wet And Wild should get more shade. When i want there in the December of 2015 for a school trip, we were hopping and running everywhere to not hurt the feet. The ground was really hot and just was pleasant. Also i think it needs something like The RIP at White Water World. Also a Water Slide Coaster. Also like the one White Water World. That's what i think Wet And Wild needs. Comment what you think Wet And Wild.

  6. Would seem a bit silly to build a coaster 4 feet short of reaching hyper status no?

  7. You should be safe to atleast run with Minimum graphics, which is still very enjoyable. The thing is though, if you aren't able to play it for a decent amount of time or get any enjoyment out of it, Steam will refund it for you (providing the play time is less than 2 hours I believe).

  8. thank you for clearing that up. Was a bit confused as to why the photographer didn't show the logo first as they had on other rides.

  9. I'm pretty sure it was themed as an alligator. I'm sure there's some photos of me at about 4 years old riding it, i'll see if I can track them down.

  11. That's great to hear despite the park going through some of its worst weeks ever, they're trying to bring it back on the other side in pristine condition.

  12. Oh god. The Stupid. It Hurts. In addition to this, it is interesting the Energex response that is being had. For those who don't want to go looking, Energex raised concerns about the carpark because they have existing infrastructure both overhead and below ground. They've asked questions over what arrangements VRS has made to accommodate their lines, and offered options for VRS to pay for things like relocation, and survey\study of certain impacts. VRS basically responded with "your shit isn't in the easement where it's supposed to be, so it's your fucking problem Jack." I must admit, I lol'd.

  13. I agree Sea World's focus is more family oriented, but one must remember that families have older children too - and those younger ones get older as well. The park needs to offer something to cater to a more adult level demographic or it risks being relegated to the 'we've done that once, we don't need to do it again' pile... kind of like Paradise Country was, and they're working hard to change that. I think one more big coaster, something of a level to replace Sea Viper. Then they need to bring in a few more mid-thrill flats, and a few family friendly but still thrilling attractions.

  14. Everyone is sad, everyone is shocked, but in time you will get over it, as will everyone. That's meant in no disrespect for the families & friends of those lost, but as a reality. At some point, life forces you to move forward and leave things behind. Not forget, but no longer dwell. if it truly has effected you as much as you constantly post about @POP, then you should speak with your GP and get some help - that's not a dig at you, that's a sincere suggestion

  15. Definitely needed, this is actually the reason why I would rather go to WhiteWater World. Okay I know I'm dreaming nor would I know where they would put but a ProSlide RocketBLAST/ FlyingSAUCER. It looks pretty awesome and is unique no other Park in Australia has one.

  16. The QLD Government could just put sound barriers along the M1 if there is none already there. Here is the zoning (green = open space, pink with red stripes = light density residential - large lot precinct): The dotted blue line is the lot border. VRTP owns the land but who knows how the community sees the land as. I think traffic issues are going to be the most divisive issue regarding the car park.

  19. I disagree - I think the MRT video, audio and the 'next train' slides in between are a nice touch to the theme.

  21. Whilst I love what the roof has permitted the park to do - Main Street looks so much better without it!
