  2. Gotta love having my topic called dumb! Yay Parkz forum! Seriously I searched like half a dozen permutations of the title of this thread to look for something similar but I guess I missed the many posts like this before? Whatever, I'm drunk right now so if this is a seriously egregious forum topic than delete it, I was just trying to make conversation.

  3. I stumbled across this video and thought it was worth a share. This is Super Turbo, one of the only operating Chance Turbo's in the world, and has just been refurbished by (I believe) TPA Shows. This unit is particularly special, as it can run forwards and backwards. Not sure if it's going to be travelling the show circuit or not, but it would be amazing to see. The video was posted on December 7.

  5. Anyone (and I mean adults) who gets in a ride would have to be a complete moron not to realise there is an element of risk. Children wouldn't usually know that but it's their parents responsibility to be aware of it for them. We then assess the risk (for ourselves or the child in our care) and then make an informed decision on whether or not to get on the ride. Same goes for cars, buses, trains, planes. Actually any vehicle! The other alternative is all vehicles should be banned. We all walk everywhere and return to the stone age! Amazing that this is considered "news"!

  6. Hahaha you're showing your age there? God no please no more DC stuff!!! We need balance at MW and Scooby-Doo is still a very much alive and well franchise. Still I have this unneasy feeling that is hovering in the back of my mind that this may indeed be on the cards. For now at least I am trying to block that thought out and hoping it doesn't happen. Mostly because it really doesn't need to

  8. ^C'mon people are entitled to their own preferences. This thread is worth doing periodically to add new coasters, re-assess improvement to existing ones (Arkham has improved with the new restraints etc), and that people may have ridden more Oz coasters (like me). Here's what I've been on: Superman Escape Abyss Jet Rescue Scooby Doo Green Lantern Arkham Asylum Wild Mouse (LPS) Buzzsaw Tower of Terror 2 Scenic Rallway Surfrider Hot Wheels Sidewinder Storm Coaster Escape From Madagascar Mick Doohan's Slumber Coaster Road Runner Coaster Dragon Express Jungle Twist

  10. Wipeout Update- Weird pile of rubbish on the floor and a sand like product. Also saw a man working on the seats of the ride and than later found that two had been pulled out. Not sure if he was Dreamworld staff or a safety inspector. Bottom panel was also open. Surfboards are still being worked on.

  12. That is entirely a very strange response to someone who was agreeing with you.

  14. What MDMC needs is a complete retheme to justify new trains. Something quadbike-y like Juvelen wouldn't be hard to come up with a good theme for.

  15. I'm calling it out - they aren't competing - one's thrilling, and one's MDMC.

  16. I think AlexB has the authority here, especially if he is driving highways every day. NSW always taught safe traveling distance as a value of time not length. You should be 2-3 seconds behind the car in front. The length of that gap increases exponentially as your speed goes up.

  17. And when you do leave a safe gap some one decides that's a space and changes lanes into it effectively cutting your safe gap in half... happens all the time on the M1.

  18. I don't understand why these keep getting media attention? I used the brakes on my car today and came to a complete stop, can I be on TV too for having safely working machinery?

  19. If MW were to re-theme the ride, as much as they don't need another DC ride, I recon it would suit a "Jokers Funhouse" kinda theme. Even the trains wouldn't look too out of place with a theme like that.
