Putting the ride where the big tree is would block the main thoroughfare into the area and potentially cause a lot of congestion.

Putting it in that space would give WB Kids the weenie it needs, and would not have blocked the thoroughfare (though if it created pinch points i'm sure part of the design would have involved path widening), but I whole heartedly agree that the loss of that tree would have been devastating, so i'm glad it isn't going there...

It’s great they’ve made an effort to hide the temporary fencing, the wrap looks good.

I'm glad the parks are moving away from "plain green bushes" wraps to something themed to the area - it's a really nice touch when temp fencing is used. It would be nicer if they did proper hoarding like many overseas parks do, but that takes more time and money that ultimately is only about aesthetics, so customised wraps will do just fine! (y)

100%. The queue line could have formed away from the entrance to the kids area and the exit could have been on the opposite side towards carousel, splash zone, etc so guests can walk either side of the attraction without issue. It certainly wouldn't be any worse than what happens when characters were there for photo ops. Cuts off part of the entrance into the area and blocks off access to the pathway to the train.

Would have given a great view over the whole area for sure. You really want that type of ride as central as possible, away from walls, buildings, etc as its kind of boring for kids to look at, plus you really don't want your guests looking at what is going on in back of house areas. To be honest, it was never probably in the cards but the whole kids area probably needed a redesign to fix access/make better use of available space. Some rides could go, others could be relocated and the converted parents retreat/timeout demolished with a new toilet block being built somewhere in the area that offers proper change areas/room.

There’s also something piled up in the middle of the seating area, but I can’t quite make out what it is.

These are an accessory to the "plain green bushes" wraps they used to have for the temporary fencing. The bush wraps were 'per piece' so each joint had a gap. Those pieces have the same green bush print on them, and are designed to fit in between the fence panels to cover the gap \ hide the concrete foot.

My guess is, since they wrapped it in loony tunes, they didn't need the green bushes accessories that were probably used in their last position.

Here are some close-up shots of the area.

These “Ride” markers have now been placed in various locations around the area:B529F826-5E15-40ED-8BF9-EDFF1413C412.thumb.jpeg.cba4f254bfa447800d4d6d8beeedec20.jpeg346FB469-640C-46ED-BCFA-4FCA9644378B.thumb.jpeg.70f59d442046aa700f14cba8c5f36796.jpegD01A2B9A-CA4F-41CD-BDDA-58A054AF2FC7.thumb.jpeg.0895b16d994f77813a78e798655cdfcd.jpeg48F15534-AC12-40ED-B8C4-ADFFD0956EE0.thumb.jpeg.265274b8a6d65788f7ba00c115c6f171.jpeg

I wonder if the old Marvin ride site will be used at all for the new ride. Maybe part of the queue?

It'd be on the opposite side of the pathway - which based on the markings we've seen, they're keeping the path intact.

I would like to see them repurpose that space though - even if they park a coffee cart or something there for parents to chill.

One of the ride markers is located on the opposite side of the pathway, so I think it’s possible some work might be taking place over there too.

I dunno what brought on the argument last night but have cleaned up the thread.

Clearly it's a ride being built, hence the“Ride ℄” (Centreline) on the peg.

Still so confused why this isn't being hyped by the park? I know it's not Wizard of Oz or Atlantis, but it is a new ride?

Even when they announced it, it was just a secondary statement within the wizard of Oz announcement. They should’ve announced it before or after WoO and created some hype about it. They’ll probably announce more in the new year once their events are over

I thought the same. Most people even missed it as it was barely spoken about. Missed opportunity hyping it before Wizard of Oz

One thing I've learned on this site is no one is ever happy, and people will find an angle to complain about things. If they were hyping it, they would cop an absolute flogging on here and on socials by people getting mad at them for hyping quite a minor addition. Since they're not people are like 'Oh they should be hyping it!'

Why on Earth would they hype it? SW is about to open a much bigger version of the same ride in a couple weeks. People aren't going to listen to all the things parks put out, it's not like anyone is going to change their holiday plans for the ride, and it's really just filler. The DC event over Christmas will be a bigger draw. Why would you compete with yourself to drive hype (which won't happen) for filler?

I think the new kids ride will be one of those additions that MW hypes up just before school holiday period in which it debuts, sort of like special events eg. hooray for hollywood. btw I'm not saying that it will open in during a period of school holidays specifically, I just think that it's opening/hype up will be more abrupt compared to bigger additions in the past

That was just a rumour that spread from someone putting it on the Movie World wiki. We have no confirmation yet.

You know that's actually a good point, kids rides aren't really that interesting to me so I've fully accepted that as gospel and haven't looked any further into it. Will I look in to it now? No, it's still a kiddie ride and besides the 'Oh that's good, they kind of need one of them', don't care beyond that, but good to know that I've totally just gone along with a wiki article.
