Just going to put this here as it should answer a lot of questions:

Due to limited numbers, discounts are not available for passholders or members. Tickets are only valid for the displayed date and time.

Guests must arrive at 6.00pm sharp. Gates close at 6.15pm. Guests who arrive late will be directed to security.

Ticket price covers entry only. Food and beverage will be available for purchase from 6.00pm – 7.00pm only from Dough Bros.

Rides and attractions will not be open on the night.

Guests are advised to bring their own torch.

Good point Ash. The hilarity of this hype is that many businesses are cashing in on this fad without commercial agreement with the publishers of the game.  $25 per person, food available for an hour. Two hours in the park with no rides, no food, no beverage - makes for a very boring night for chaperones or anyone who can't get network service for whatever reason.

if the game does crash, it will be interesting to see what Dreamworld does.

They don't really care. They didn't with Ingress, and while this is insanely more popular, it's basically the same game. 

Pokemon Go has added almost $8bn to Nintendo's market value. Soon there's reports that they will start selling the option of businesses buying the ability to become Pokestops to draw more customers.

I haven't been to DW for a couple of months, and was surprised in how much they'd grown since I last saw them. And also surprised how high some of the walls are, and how much concrete there is. But I'm sure once it's all finished it will look great.
