I just Philp Hue'd up my house for romantic nights. I tell Siri sexytime and all my lights in the house change colour. Now I can drop hints to my wife while I’m in another room. The closest I’ve come to this working is my wife yelling out to me “not happening” It’s early days.4 points

Wait until your kids cotton on to the reason for the mood lighting. #scarredforlife3 points

Not quite. G-forces are a product of speed and directional change, i.e. the track curving. All rows of seats are travelling the same speed at any given moment, but they will be on different sections of track and as such experience different forces. The easiest example to think of is heading over the top of a lift hill. While the front rows will creep gently into first drop experiencing essentially no forces, the back row is often whipped over with a burst of negative g's.3 points

Agree and disagree. Sure for Christmas and maybe fright nights a colour could be cool but thank god it's not some colour changing horrid thing. The classy white is nice.3 points

Well based off the theming we've seen so far, it will be more than just joker and batman2 points

I'd be ok with fast track giving 1 ride per day after the initial launch period, but definitely agree with Alex that for at least the first 2 months (well ideally through the Xmas holidays), you wanna ride, you wait in line with the rest of the plebs...none of this skipping BS.2 points

Although they'd clearly make a shit-tonne of money offering fast track, I would like to hope the park cares enough about their regular guests that for the first few weeks or so, they wouldn't allow fast track on Rivals. Hopefully someone in management realises that a couple extra hundred isn't worth the thousands of disgruntled guests who are somewhat disappointed that their admission didn't get them a ride because others who paid more were rapid cycling.2 points

Apparently Mack do not do pull throughs. Guess the Germans have bigger balls than the crazy Swiss bastards.2 points

So after the discussions in this thread and some chats on and off forums, I took on everyone's feedback and decided that a new logo wouldn't hurt. It was made years ago and admittedly I have zero artistic talent and while that hasn't improved much at all, I did really like the logo that Ben designed and posted in here. So, with that said I want to say a public thank you to @Slick, @Gazza and the others off-forum who provided feedback and suggestions on this and this is what I plan to use going forward, which seems to look much better/more professional than the old one.1 point

I feel sorry for your closest being Luna Park but jealous that your flights to GC are cheaper.1 point

Every time someone mentions this it kinda gets on my nerves. Would you not put the logo on something that was branded? The Ride itself is called "DC Rivals Hypercoaster". The DC Logo isn't there to be added as an additional title. It's there because that's is what the DC brand logo is. They wouldn't call the ride DC Rivals and then not put the DC logo with it. It's trademark.1 point

Bit of coloured cellophane and some sticky tape, colour change for fright nights achieved1 point

...and if they were going to shove LED in there, it would have been great if they'd gone with RGB - a simple colour changer so that they could 'theme' the entrance with light depending on the event - they could just have a slow colour change wave, or perhaps for Fright Nights they could have had them all red to make the columns look evil \ bleeding etc.1 point

The magnitude of forces will be exactly the same, just the direction may change. The vertical positive/negative would be exactly the same as if you were sitting forwards. The lateral forces will switch sides because your left becomes the train's right, and the forwards/backwards forces will switch direction because your forwards is the train's backwards.1 point

I'm lucky to live 10 minutes away from the park & have it be my home park whilst it's steadily gaining a decent ride line-up. I can only imagine how good it would be having the GC parks as home parks.1 point

Speaking of reactions, looking a them this morning they seem a bit unbalanced. Would be nice to have one or two other positive options than just "Like". Wow, Shock, Excite, Heart/Love ect. Actually, didn't we originally have "Haha"?1 point
