  1. Let's actually move on. We've suspended members for creating fake accounts and deleted a whole lot of posts here because it's clear some people seem only interested in creating drama. If you wish to discuss our policies about what members can and can't post then feel free to start a topic in Site Issues. (Spoiler: we'll allow almost anything that's not offensive but from time to time may remove things for a whole lot of reasons including requests from park management that we look at on a case by case basis, and our record speaks for itself when it comes to free and open discussion.)

  2. Hence why I raised it in my post. Allowing a private communication to stay published publicly on this forum doesn’t lend itself to parks being open and engaging.

  3. Qld borders will reopen July 10. The 100 people max capacity for stage 3 has been scrapped and instead it will be the 4 square metre rule. Stadiums will be allowed to have 10,000 people from stage 3 too. Hopefully this is a positive step for the parks reopening

  4. Not always. On occasion, no dates has meant parts on order without ETA. Perhaps the projector is broken? They do need to do something with that castle though.

  5. Seems like all the attractions are closed during their usual months As the Star Flyer isn’t listed for maintenance does that mean we will see if close before the end of the year? Maybe we will see it close once major Leviathan construction is underway?

  6. @Smol bean I think it was always intended to be shown on commercial television

  7. Visited Australia Zoo today, their first day of operation since closure due to COVID-19. Social distancing foot markings at the entrance and in shops, signs throughout the zoo reminding guests to social distance. Kids shopping centre style rides were blocked off, all water bubblers were also turned off. They were disinfecting the tram after each full circuit. General animal encounters/feeding were not happening. Shows have been reduced down to 3, Tortoises Talk, Koala Talk and main Crocoseum show. At the start of the Koala and Tortoise talks the staff requested everyone social distance. The croceseum had signage to specify you must leave a 3 seat gap between groups, people were obeying that however the audio before the shows also specified leaving the rows behind and in front of you empty. As rows were not blocked off nor was this mentioned on the signs it did not happen. Huge surprise was 16 weeks ago Tiger Cub Triplets were born! Today was their first day on public display.

  8. A 40,000 capacity stadium can have 10,000 its 25% of max capacity. that rule however only applies to ticketed and SEATED events. The PM stressed the seated part and said festivals where people move around or change seats/stand will not be allowed to go ahead. will be interesting to see what they rule for theme parks specifically

  9. I only hope the landscaping for the new coaster is close to as good as this No Limits rendering, but that might just be wishful thinking considering the financial situation.

  11. Or I could just do the math... (Keep in mind this is very rough. I just used Nearmap and roughly drew an area line around the outdoor spaces. Attraction footprints and buildings aren't included) Sea World - 8,000 Movie World - 6,000 Wet n Wild - 6,000 Paradise Country - 2,500 Dreamworld - 9,000 WhiteWater World - 3,500

  12. It is great to get an updated POV. But if you're going to realise another one, why not announce the rides name and/or logo too? A cool moment that I didn't notice before was the track goes over the train tracks. I'd love to be on the train as its launching We only see two trains in this footage, so as we had already assumed, they will probably just be the two Nice open viewing area and walkway through the track I do hope we see this much rock work across the site to add to the landscaping Back row going up that spire will be awesome (Especially with the spinning seat) As I suspected, the train looks very similar to the ones for DC Rivals

  13. Good point, and to be fair flat rides often operate with every 2nd seat empty anyway. I really should get on Fully 6 too.

  14. I would, my issue would be the countless others who wouldn't. I'd probably avoid the parks for the foreseeable future simply because i'd likely get tossed from the park for losing my shit at some grubby grot who can't keep their shit to themselves. We're all prone to forget things from time to time. I was visiting my mother a few weeks ago and she introduced me to her agent. My upbringing taught me that when two men meet, they shake hands, and since my mother was the main contributor to that upbringing, i defaulted to 'how i was raised' mode and offered a handshake. He looked oddly at me, but shook my hand anyway. My mother immediately noted my politeness and then chided me for doing so in this environment and I promptly went off and grabbed some sanitiser for myself and the agent. We're all going to forget ourselves from time to time. old habits die hard. the important thing is how we and others react when it happens. the other party can politely remind of the need to avoid contact (the preferred method), or they can disrespect the boundaries (majority of the great unwashed). Its this second group that I lose my shit at... yet i'd be seen as the bad guy.

  16. A couple years ago I heard a rumour that there were plans to demolish it and a new attraction would use that land. Whether those plans have now changed because they went down Atlantis path, I don’t know, but I definitely think they should do something. When it was Planet SOS I remember the attraction always being popular and that might have been because there was a clear entrance along the parks main path. I don’t think anyone goes up towards the entrance of Spongebob anymore because the Skyway was removed I wish they’ve fix up the bottleneck access to Jet Rescue. I was hoping with Atlantis they were going to remove that bridge, as it seemed like Leviathan was going to reach that area, but those plans found proved that thought wrong.

  17. You got to remember that Trolls is targeting a very much younger demographic (4-8 year olds) than you, and never was going to attract teens and adults like most of the demographic on this forum unless they have kids on their own. 5-8yr old me would probably be going insane with what they had to offer being able to dress up as a troll, making your own cupcakes, a shop, shows and the funhouse and meet Poppy and Branch. While I have no interest in the Trolls property, but with what all four parties (Sudden Impact Entertainment, DW, Dreamworks and Universal) came up with, it was definitely more than anyone could have asked on, just quite unfortunate it's stay at the park wasn't long enough.

  18. Zac, I don’t need a media conference anymore, neither am I here to pitch VRTP but am here to contribute in a constructive manner. The guidelines set by the owners of this forum needs to be abided by, I am happy to offer views on things but I cannot be seen here just promoting VRTp. I am working with the owners of this forum to have a Q&A down the track where I can take appropriate questions. Please also remember that I cannot talk about certain things as they are commercial in confidence and unfortunately everyone will have to accept that. All the best...

  19. That ride looks awesome like with the front looking much better with the snake head. and I love some of the elements Like the head chopper under the bridge. I think this the investment dreamworld has needed for the past few years now with mediocre experiences like the trolls village and the hot wheels rebrand of cyclone

  21. GL next to Rivals does look fantastic but until Rivals was built, it looked like they had just left a coaster out on the curb for council collection.

  23. Why do they always have the same rides under maintenance at the exact same time every year. I get they might want to have rides down roughly a year after the last maintenance, but surely there is no harm in pushing it back by a couple months so it’s not closed at the same. Swapping JR and SC would be a smart move

  24. I got some very small breaking news but I thought it was kinda interesting that ad quoted was shown on Cartoon Network during an ad break it’s kinda weird to show something like this on commercial television
