  3. I really don't see much point to your line of questioning. the gap between slats was certainly well short of a metre. At 1.75m you'd have had every 2nd boat flipping. a 170cm person falling over a void that is 75cm wide would not likely fall through providing they had the use of their arms and hands (i.e. Conscious). You'd only likely fall through if you fell and went down head first. I don't think talk of dismemberment is what we should be talking about here personally.

  5. Obviously. I didn't even notice until after you'd pointed them out.

  7. f*** that brought back some good memories! I remember being in year 7 and always jumping on movieworlds website at school and watching the ad's for Superman, than jumping on to Roller-coaster.com.au to check out all the constrution photo's

  8. True. My pass expired Christmas Eve 2015. I haven't rode HWSW. It was in December NOT October.

  9. Well "Cyclone" was closed on the 12th of October 2015 to be refurbished to match the new MSP which opened around the 26th of October 2015. Somewhere around that time it would have changed to match the new area.

  11. Could we see removal of the castle for something more functional? Perhaps a reworking of the troughs that were reworked to fit Storm Coaster?

  12. All this talk about advertising is reminding me a lot of Superman Escapes "trendy" advertising campaign.

  13. I wouldn't be so sure. The last thing you would want to do is cast dispersions towards what has been your flagship for 12 years. You don't want people regarding it as the poor cousin to the new kid on the block. Superman has earned its reputation as best in it's category by many, and many would also say best in the country. I wouldn't want to leverage marketing off that sort of reputation - it can flop in so many ways.

  14. Hey there, did anyone do the after party or silverwood experience and like to share? I went on Friday and booked the after party but unfortunately my partner got sick so we had to leave early. Friday was still great though, it was nice to wander round at our own pace and watch all the stuff in the zones and really enjoy the atmosphere.

  15. My daughter, best friend and I made the decision to stop by Dreamworld late yesterday afternoon to pay our respects before heading to MW. This was the second visit for me, and I was absolutely overwhelmed with how many more floral and candle tributes have been added by the community in the last couple of days, along with stuffed toys, cards and letters. It made for a beautiful but heartbreaking sunset. The lingering storm in the distance definitely set the bitter-sweet tone of the moment. Will be stopping by again tomorrow, on the request of both my kids whom have expressed an interest in wanting to add tributes of their own there for both families. Such a tragic situation overall. Still can't believe this has actually happened ???

  16. No, they haven't "shut down the park", they've advised Dreamworld to not re-open. They're not locking the gates or anything. I'd like to see the memorial in a quiet corner of the park, not in Gold Rush (or whatever replaces it, if it is removed).

  17. I second that. I would absolutely be not going ahead with any park purchases right now. In fact I'm surprised the website is even allowing transactions atm, given everything is all up in the air at this time Not that I don't doubt for a second that the park will pass it's safety audits, but that's one of many things that could change the park's future with reopening. It's a one step at a time process. We all just have to be patient.

  19. Funerals will take place this week as the deceased were released to the families over the weekend. From all accounts the safety checks begun Saturday, I don't imagine it will take weeks to sign off the park unless there are issues that arise

  20. I have tears for all involved. My heart goes out to them. I have vowed to go back to the park after my daughter nearly drowned and staff did nothing even after I was screaming out to them and when I spoke to the park they did not care. I will definitely never go back to the park now.
