Lets say it’s just under $2m per train

Let's not.

$20 a backwards seat on 3 minute cycles - they’d pay the extra train  off in a year. (Assuming they filled every seat)

A very poor assumption at best

2 minute cycles with 50% of the backwards seats been filled would pay it off in 20 weeks!

It is clear by the math \ logic you're using that you have zero clue how to run a theme park.

the rotating bins don't seem to be functional

It was a great concept for the ride but like everything else - another set of moving parts for something to go wrong. If it doesn't get it right every time, it's better to turn it off.

Thoughts on MW installing dispatch screens similar to Toutatis or Rapterra to 'help' with dispatches?

A part of me thinks it would help if they have realistic fast dispatches as the benchmark however, knowing VRTP they'd pour lots of money into it, fail to maintain the screens and before you know it they're all off and not working.

Instead of having one train waiting for the train in the station to be loaded, you now have 2 trains waiting.  Sounds like a great idea @Dean Barnett

Is that last straight part before the station flat, make it an unload station it will help speed up the load, then because we are now spending money money money… like new ride level of money then let’s add another block on the transfer turn to hold the trains for if they have been unloaded before they are ready for dispatch… no trains waiting except for empty ones

Let's just be clear here - modifying rivals is never going to happen. The ride is approaching 8 years old. It is still quite popular. The main reasons rides get retrofitted or upgraded are either a defect on opening, or a refresh to drive ridership to an older ride that is losing popularity.

There is no reason to throw any money at it at this point as there is unlikely to be any ROI.

It would be nice to see the parks invest in capacity and efficiency in their next attraction - however given WOZ, I don't know that they're interested in that. We may have to wait for a change of management \ ownership before the focus shifts.

And for the first few years of operations Rivals never really had an issue with just two trains. In peak periods they operate both and in off-peak they operate with one. The dispatches were efficient which meant the queue would move quickly and there wouldn’t be stacking (or at least it would be minimal). Throwing more money at the ride to get a third train ain’t going to make things any better. Dispatches won’t be any quicker than either two trains. And yes having a third train will mean they always have at least two trains available, but what the park needs to do is have better management with their maintenance to ensure they always have the spare parts required and to never have the second train unavailable during those peak periods.

Village threw more money at Wizard of Oz to try make it better ($100 million if anyone needs reminding) and look how that’s turned out. Throwing money at things ain’t always the answer… take Dreamworld over the past 4 years for example.

FOTWW has been closed all week.

Nah it's quiet, time to save money, even if that means charging people full price to get in. We can make a few extra bucks by getting people to purchase fast passes too

Rivals is getting the rest of its track repainted during this maintenance period, with the main road going into the park closed off with new access to the main car park open, with big cranes are also on site.

MW doubling down on wanting people to call it DC Rivals instead of Joker by removing the Joker face.

I hope this is just temporary. I seem to remember it was looking a little rusty on our last visit.

Having half of the park closed for maintenance isn’t acceptable. I understand some of the above closed rides aren’t scheduled to be closed and might be having some teething issues, but having 6 rides closed and having just permanently removed one shouldn’t be acceptable. They seriously need to rethink their maintenance schedule so there’s not this mass downtime, especially when they charging day guests $109 (for perspective I paid that to visit DisneySea).

The latest Theme Park Ogre video on YouTube, batwing was down, fotww was down only 1 train operating on Kansas Twister.

A lot of the comments are stating the same thing, Movieworld have lost the plot. I won’t be renewing my families 5 passes until something major happens in regards to management.

The park is terrible. The IP choice was wrong imo also, executed terribly. Night and day difference to Dreamworld.

The fact that 40% of the parks rides are closed for maintenance and now their running rides at either reduced capacity of reduced operating hours is further proof that all is not well at Village. Makes me think that maybe Bikash’s departure wasn’t completely his choice…

Does anyone else think Movie World each day is digging a bigger whole for themselves and one day there not going to be able to dig themselves out of it?

Actively Shitting on guest experience and dramatically overspending on copy and paste rides. That's burning both ends of the stick Imo. So yes.

Anyone who didn't think BGH was going down this road from the beginning was fooling themselves.

The entire strategy for them is to streamline business, find 'efficiencies', cut costs. Improve the capital value of the park to make it more attractive to a buyer (in whole or in pieces) and flip it for maximum profit.

They don't care about the guest experience. they care about reducing costs to maximise profit.
