Dreamworld Lego Store construction

It would be unusual for a brand to commit to infrastructure costs on a property they do not own as if the contract was terminated, they would have to walk away from the funds invested...

Interestingly, Apple does contribute to infrastructure costs of their third-party 'Premium Reseller' network. Agree that this is a highly unusual occurrence.

OMG! that confirms it! Lego have pulled out of the deal! Proof! Proof i tell you!

Ok so seriously now - I'd suggest that Lego and Dreamworld are both taking a cut out of lego sales. Average retail margin (across the industry) tends to be 30%, although larger items sometimes less and smaller items sometimes more. If passholder discount is 10-15%, they're cutting out half the average margin. I don't think excluding a brand tie-in from passholder discounts is a major issue, and i'm sure we'll see special promotions where they do offer discounts for a limited time.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Worth noting "Excludes lego store" has been added under the retail discount on the passholders page.

Assuming they sell at RRP a little disappointing, surely their is more than 10-15% in their margins.

New flagship outlet selling new premium, niche gear from a 3rd party. To me it's not surprising. Maybe down the track it'll change once when they've identified buying behaviour and trends at the store.

I knew of Lego margins being 25-30% generally, didn't consider the store is a partnership and possibly the revenue sharing as AlexB mentioned.

Can you add the new entry to your artist impression, it's on the right.

I'll add it when there is more framework up on that side

Here you go (I've based it on the former Market Place exit theming but I've got no clue if that former theming will return when construction is complete or if the design I've added is even remotely accurate):
