Yiiiiiiiiiiikes.

Trademarking a porn star's name was one thing, and then naming your kid's land after an abandoned Disney knock-off theme park is another, but now we've got snake killer the ride. With Dreamworld's history (not to mention it's also part zoo with a strong conservation message attached to it), I wouldn't touch any word or theme remotely close to the idea of death or killing animals/people/things with a 395-foot freshly painted steel pole.

Looking forward to all the stans who will inevitably try and justify such an obviously bad name.

WTF you can’t take Serpent Slayer ripping it off from the awesome show of the same name from Sea World legend. 
 

I dunno if it’s just me but seeing the same area at DW with merely the IP names removed just makes me think how much of a waste of time IP is. The area and rides still look great as they are.

Yeah serpent slayer gives me 2000s video game vibes. IMHO a cool idea for the pandemonium re-theme would be to give it a stingray theme, like I think that would suit the vehicles and could look similar to Manta at SW Orlando but not a coaster train ofc. But looks like we’ll be getting “serpent slayer” & who bets they keep the dragon statue on top but just give it a re-paint

I don't hate the name. I liked it more when I thought it was a low effort retheme of Madagascar instead of a ride through bushland. Also to be clear, I'm not going to judge the quality of the ride based on the types of trees around it, but I will 100% be judging the name based on how committed they are to planting a jungle.

It's not the first time they've registered a trademark without necessarily having it used down the track, we saw that with Sky Voyager and Taipan.

A quick google tells me you can register a trademark for under $500 and as far as i'm concerned, that's cheaper than it costs to do market research, for you lot to tell them whether its a good idea or not.

It’s not bad it’s just for a 36M coaster that name doesn’t have the best ring. It sounds more like a tree top challenge style ride. But i don’t really care at least DW is getting another coaster! The name doesn’t matter that much.
