Dreamworld 'Pure Imagination' Campaign

Nearly every song ever used as a jingle or as part of a brand's advertising was not written with the intention of being anything to do with the brand it became aligned with.

Imagination, fun, dreaming, excitement, escapism - are themes of the song that are quintessentially theme park related themes

Assuming they could have got the rights, I reckon this would have been a better choice of song to use.

It includes the word "dream" (as in Dreamworld) multiple times, and also the word "happy" for a smooth transition from the previous campaign.

Slogan could have been "Have a dream come true"!

I like the ad I love that they are focusing back on what Dreamworld was founded on  "fun for everyone"  instead of the thrill seeker demographic  hopefully we see more family rides in the park to follow up on the new focus

They should of brought back a new version of the 80s Dreamworld one day holiday ad  that would be cool :)

"Happy" is another obvious choice of song they could have used.

No. Just no.

If this was 2013, fine. It's a shock how you complain that the song in the ad is an overused song from a movie, and then go on to suggest Happy, which the exact same thing, only a whole lot worse.

I'm with the sentimentalists - the song conjures a childhood watching Gene Wilder serenade the children of the world in a chocolate wonderland. It's all about wishing, dreaming, and imagination...

I think almost all of the lyrics lend well to the park - with the single exception of the unfortunate parallel in the opening line:

Hold your breath
Make a wish
Count to three

Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of <world reference1
Pure imagination <tagline
Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination <tagline reference

We'll begin
With a spin <many of the rides spin
Traveling in
The world of my creation <world reference 2
What we'll see
Will defy
Explanation

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it <reference the park as paradise
Anything you want to, do it <carefree nature appealing to escapism
Wanta change the world? <world reference 3
There's nothing
To it

There is no
Life I know
To compare with
Pure imagination <tagline
Living there
You'll be free
If you truly wish to be

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world? <world reference 4
There's nothing
To it

There is no
Life I know
To compare with
Pure imagination <tagline
Living there
You'll be free
If you truly
Wish to be

Agreed 100%

Happy is one of the most overused songs in modern culture...

You should work in advertising.
