Does anybody know the firm responsible for the design/themeing of this new area? Do WVTP's have an internal themepark design and development team (similar to WDI, but on a smaller scale)? Or is it outsourced to a themepark design firm such as Thinkwell, Falcon's Treehouse, Goddard Group, ect. ?

From what I understand, the theming had heavy involvement from within WVTP itself. I am extremely impressed with the design, and know that that person (or persons) are feeling very proud of what has come out of this project. It's like they knew exactly what us enthusiasts like to see, and then did all of it. Awesome facades, blending backgrounds and matte painting, interactive elements throughout the area, and one solidly themed ride.

You posted the one photo I was gonna post when I got to work. :(

Ahh crap, sorry chick!!! I thought since you'd gone to work you had decided not to post it. I've deleted my copy from that post if you want to post your version instead. It's probably gonna be like 100x better quality anyway with your beast of a camera ???

We have the first area entranceway now ? Bricklayer has been busy building it all morning ?

I agree! It's looking very impressive, can't wait to see it finished. Would that person/persons be an enthusiast themselves and contribute to these forums? If so, that's great to hear that WVTPs is employing local talent with a true passion for the industry.

Nice, keep the photos coming. That bricklayer probably doesn't know he's a full blown celebrity on parkz right now - enjoy your 15 minutes son.

Ha! You should have seen what happened when I posted a pic of Mick the DD crane operator on my blog a couple of months back. I think he was completely chuffed by the amount of attention that recieved. Instant internet celeb ???

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I think he's trying to ascertain if the construction workers photographed are theme park enthusiasts who post here...

No idea why...

Brad - do try to keep up. The original question was who did the theming. I said I believe VRTP did it internally, and I think they did a great job because they've done everything that we as enthusiasts like to see done. He then wondered whether that person might be an enthusiast themselves. I then denied any knowledge of what he was talking about.

that panelling looks pretty crappy actually. each panel stands out like dogs balls. it really doesn't 'stand up' to the quality of the rest of the area that we've seen.

I know it isn't complete - so I really hope that is somehow fixed \ blended better so you can't see those joins.
