You could lose your job by hinting that you know inside information in the first place. Its a bad look for a company for people to do that.4 points

^I'd be more interested in knowing how it changes the on-ride experience, than just watching it from a POV nearby. I think I'd want them to use fx that are more manageable in the long run. By the way, saying everyone on here is rude is kinda rude.3 points

Well for one, i'm glad to hear 'fast track sold out' meaning the park does have some sort of theoretical cap on how many of these things they sell, but it still seems too high. Unlimited fast track is just that - it allows people to re-ride over and over if they wish. It is painful, but this does mean those people aren't riding other rides so it all evens out I guess. I do think, by the sounds of things, that Village need to look at how many of these they sell - if they were running 2x fast track to 1x regular queue, that sounds excessive. Even Disney fastpass doesn't see that much in a row. It's disappointing - especially on peak days. On the other hand though its nice to know that park operations can be run efficiently when they want to and now it seems its just a matter of the park staffing their attractions a little better to improve those operations during quieter times.3 points

My money is still on an announcement right around when the Lego store opens.2 points

Be patient. Whilst there was talk of an announcement in August, do keep in mind the rollercoaster is not due to open for a maximum of 15 months. If they revealed everything now, apart from the occasional construction update, what will us Parkz forum members have to speculate or discuss until then? All the questions would have been answered. There are also many other reasons to not announce something such as licensing agreements, industry competition or generally, just the state of progress in the project. We also speculated that any announcement won't come until well after the DC Comics Super-Villians Unleashed area would be opened so the general public won't get confused between the 2 new additions.2 points

Yeah I'm a big Star Wars fan, and know a few cosplayers who do it every year, but have never been to the event. Maybe next year. Also, if people are ashholes on this forum and are annoying you, remember: http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/ignore/1 point

Just a heads up to anyone that was interested in getting their hands on a Parkz t-shirt (either by joining the Parkz Crew or on its own), numbers for all sizes are pretty low, but we're down to just one XL and one Medium t-shirt in stock. Still a handful of Small and Large remaining though, but these will be gone before too long as well. When stock runs out we'll likely try a different t-shirt design for the next one, so this is your last chance to get your hands on this shirt for now.1 point

Transcraft is an American manufacturer of the Transcraft Eagle 2 flat bed trailer... Hence the American flag... I was able to find a couple of sites where they do price them in AUD for purchase so that could be a possibility still... Close up of the number plate of the truck sadly couldn't find anything with a search... 57711 A But the mudflap does have Las ????? (I read Vegas but meh)... And a phone number in the 3-3-4 configuration which is again American... Why would you ship a truck out to Australia when you would then have to get permits and such instead of just arranging one of the many companies here to do it? Also looking at the barrier behind the track pieces... I don't recognise that from anywhere along the M1 southbound... That and like the steering wheel it's on the wrong side...1 point

Just visited and the stadium was completely full which was great to see. A few changes can be seen since the last update, including painting of the rock faces, ceiling of the cafe completed, covering over some of the brick walls, and the far side continues progress. One of the keepers said that along with what has been stated for stage 2, a range of cameras throughout the enclosure, including on the top of the climbing post and underwater, will be installed and show footage on the big screen. Patrick is heading over to Cambodia in a few weeks to get some footage for the show and provide conservation.1 point

Wow. I'd expected them to theme the Corroborree VR to V8 Supercars or something. Come to think of it - that sounds like a great upgrade to the Redline simulators.1 point

Yeah you are probably right. I'm fairly new to this and new to posting stuff on anything, so any help and guidance is appreciated. Do I change it somehow or will the moderators, etc do it, if they deem it necessary of course. Is it really that much of an issue though? Going down this morning for the 8:30am early entry to check it all out. Thanks to everyone for keeping us all up to date1 point

Gold Coast Bulletin published an article in today's paper (page 5) regarding a teaser about the new roller coaster. In the article a VRTP spokesperson says "plans for a steel-structured sit-down extreme roller coaster for the park with an opening date of 2017". Sweeeeeet! :-D Let the speculation begin.....continue! (Apologies for photo quality)1 point

Surprisingly, Dream World and the 501st have come to terms for the Star Wars Charity weekend again next year, albeit later in the usual month: 27-28 May. All reports were that the co-operation was over.1 point

@ClassifiedLlama If you're considering forking out for fast track for mazes at $45 each, have you consider paying extra and doing the Ultimate Terror Tour instead? Includes fast track for all four mazes & most of the rides, plus all the added benefits of unlimited VIP lounge access (buffet and drinks), behind the scenes tour, plus lots of extras. I think it was $139 for that night, from memory when I booked it. Which would work out to be the better value if you're prepared to pay extra to speed things up that night. Personally I think that's the better value option as opposed to paying for separate fast tracks for mazes and/or rides, and you guaranteed won't be waiting in lines all night. Everyone I know who has done this tour has absolutely raved about it ETA: Actually after just reading the Fast Track maze info, I've realised its $45 for one entry to each maze, not one entry per maze lol! Ah well, still definitely worth considering the UTT anyway, even if it costs a lot more. I'm doing my first one this year and can't wait1 point

That would be awful! But yeah, don't do it if you don't have a strong stomach. It wasn't nauseating for me but it definitely takes you a moment to get your balance once you've stood up.1 point

That's is a such a ridiculous statement. Seriously. when you look at everything DW has executed theme wise in the past 2 years, what is there to complain about? dough bros ice creamery Brock museum even back to abc4kids world & Dreamworks theming as been great and really added to the areas.1 point

Thanks Captain obvious. These three posts alone (whilst not necessarily the first, or only people to mention the water off on the final drop) all mentioned this on the last page alone. Please do try to keep up with the threads before posting information we already know, and have discussed at length.-1 points

This thread is like sharks all going in at a dead whale. This pic has sent us all into a frenzy. My thoughts, could the mack boxes be for sdsc and premier/vekoma are doing the new coaster? A collaboration build? Worlds first dual track manufacturer coaster? Mack does a dark ride portion-premier does the roller coaster/intense bit?-3 points

Come on surely you could tell us more about the slide tower if there just going to announce it next month. Never understood this confidential information crap.-5 points
