MDMC would be a good for it. Maybe next year we will see a refurb on the ride, and they could introduce the system then.

MDMC seems likely. The second train hasn't been visible for at least 3 weeks now (Not on circuit or transfer tracks); it could be for unrelated reasons, but it's convenient.

They could turn MDMC into a horse racing ride.

Whilst not as detailed, Village Roadshow had a pretty dismal year..

* Net profit down 64pct to $15.7m

* Income from continuing operations up 7.0pct to $1.07b

earnings from the company's theme parks, including those on the Gold Coast and in Las Vegas, rose by $500,000 to $88 million

Couple of things to note from the release today!

So confirmation that our 2017 coaster won't be seen prior to the end of the year as expected, and new HWSD and OS shows

Media reports are partly attributing the disappointing result to the lacklustre performance of Wet 'n' Wild Sydney. Attendances were down 100,000 on the previous year. Village executives are blaming wet weather as usual, but those who have visited the park know the real reason - poor design and poor management and operations. Such a pity as it had such potential. Jamberoo keeps powering along, meanwhile.

Thanks Brad for posting this. You worried me at first, saying that Village Roadshow net profit is down 64 percent... then I realised that it's for the entire group, not just the theme park division. GC theme park results seemed quite strong, making up for the short falls of the other parks.

Also, this document is for FY16-17, which ends June 30 next year. The new coaster was rumoured to be opening late next year.

Also, it's interesting that the GC theme parks "paid" for the new sound stage. Obviously some funny accounting going on there!
