  1. Here is the loop with the supports in place. Looks incredible!

  2. Mid-week Update courtesy of an unplanned visit. [28-06-17] Storage Lot The smallest support in the lift hill area. (Literally the only reason I've included this photo - it's a cute little thing compared to the behemoth its underneath) Whatever these things are. (Yeah yeah.. I recognise that it's scaffolding.) Brake run catwalks. There are three new pieces in the lot (since my previous update) - however, due to the position of the sun I have no good photos of them. Station/Brake Run/Lift Hill Catwalk installation preparation Non-Inverted Loop The shot that you're going to see a lot throughout the rides lifetime. (Well, minus the fencing... and probably from a different angle... oh and maybe a visible train... but that's basically still the same, right?) More supports for the first airtime hill. Look to be fully assembled and will likely be slotted in place fully completed. Remember the thumbnail for that Parkz Update? Yeah, there's track there now. Swooping down into the loop is going to be amazing. This shot... I like this shot I also like this shot. I like this shot very much.

  3. Thank you for giving me the chance to talk about the cooperation with VRTP! I really enjoyed creating the simulation and I hope you all enjoyed watching the trailer. And sorry for not giving you any updates on my simulation, but you may now understand why I was not able to do so.

  5. So I did some digging and figured out what type of ride The Wasp is, and it is a SBF-Visa Airbourne Shot ride. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTn_Sh6Ay4Y

  6. By looking at that nearmap imagery that @grrofunger posted, it's safe to say that AW is getting an Intamin Gyro Swing. Not the same size as the Claw @ DW, but rather their newer, taller version with lap bars. The hexagon shaped pit is the main give away. Loke at Liseberg (picture below) also features a hexagon shaped pit, where the loading platform descends into before the ride starts. I love the look of the new intamin seats and lap bar restraints - so much more freedom. You're really going to feel that airtime/hangtime at the top of the swing! https://www.intaminworldwide.com/loke-liseberg/

  7. Fear not @Locke, after trawling through the DA documents, I have found an actual render.

  8. That support was initially connected (as one of the first parts of the ride to go vertical) but was, however, removed after the installation of the (?)Camelback hill(?) underneath. Image taken: 29th April So it definitely lines up with the ground support, and it wasn't in the way of the track below, but still must've been just too close. (or was damaged during track install?) 9. I know I have bad drawing haha. Basically I was trying to portray that those supports have the same shape as the themeing pole we saw on creative works' facebook. What I'm trying to say is that I think we will be seeing those themeing poles as our support beams. Not sure though due to the fact that the supports we have seen already built are plane black. Also what Facebook page was that comment made on, could you supply me with a link?

  10. Bwhahaha. I would actually go to that!;)

  11. ^Not quite sure what you're trying to draw there... Someone commented on a Facebook post that it was in the Bermuda Triangle of positions - nestled amongst the other scary thrill rides. Is it too soon to have another Bermuda Triangle ride? Otherwise - wood facade - something to do with the guardian's forest?

  12. So it's a themed residential development mostly? Sounds truely awful.

  13. Can i point out how much of a weird position it is in. I wouldve had my money on it being at the now grassed site of where the wax museum 'swamp' lay. And the theory of two rides from the worker looks to be completely disproven

  14. MS Paint to the rescue... Draw a line from the top of the top part to the bottom of the bottom part... Looks like they will to me...

  15. A Loke clone would be cool, the lapbars would certainly add a sense of both insecurity and freedom, and it looks massive. I love Claw, and the newer Intamin gyro swings look even better.

  16. Make always said the biggest of its kind in Australia so I think we will see a Loke clone which will be cheaper than a custom highest. Loke is 27 metres tall with a swing reach of 42 metres. Which will swing higher than the Abyss tower. So it should add to the skyline hopefully.

  17. Terrible angle, taken from my phone (sorry for the pole in the way, was in a bit of a rush), but here's another look at the fully-completed supports for the NI loop It's really amazing driving southbound along the motorway now, the loop is really majestic as you see it slowly rising above the trees. Certainly going to attract lots of people to the park just alone.

  18. Looks fun! A similar thrill to the Hurricane rides at travelling shows only with Riders getting to control the thrill level. Another great little addition for AW 😃

  20. I am thinking it will look something like Loke. Which is the newer Intamin model with Lap Bars. Plus to me the support structure we have seen looks like this.

  21. Soooo gorgeous! I can't wait to go and see them this weekend. DW got some heat when they announced it (uneducated animal activists screaming that transporting them would be stressful) but DW handled it brilliantly. And @Theme Park Girl thanks for the photos...those Lions do not look stressed in the slightest!

  22. Shanks shallot Hadn't seen that posted before so assumed it didn't exist. I'd hope VRTP put @docoaster on plane and seat him on the first public ride!

  23. *facepalm* I can't believe I didn't make that connection. Stupendous @docoaster, well done and kudos to you!

  24. The centre tag worked fine originally for just the title but when the image was added it broke the tags. Thanks to the way the forum software treats the use of BBCode, it hid the tags in the editing view so I wasn't able to change the alignment for the rest of the post. How so? By the sounds of this, I didn't make it clear enough that I was talking about the Ultimate Experience. The event itself is a great addition to the park and has been advertised well. The Ultimate Experience isn't something I'd do more than once, and I don't feel that the experience itself is advertised too well.

  27. I am visiting SW tomorrow and have recently lost two beloved fur babies of my own in a very short time. 1 that has been a big part of my life for 15+ years. I feel offended by SW's move in recent times to photograph my entry to the Park. Can I just not go inside and enjoy it for what I see?

  28. And when you try to tell them you aren't interested they come back with... "But everyone is getting their photo taken"... And then at the end of the day they have the rope placed so you have to curve back towards the area where they try and get you to buy a photo and look puzzled when you say "I chose not to have my photo taken"... One of the worst ideas the park has had in recent memory...

  29. The overall tone of how you describe better places to watch than they suggest, etc, how they don't do crowd control properly. The comments on marketing. Just read as a very 'I hated the event, we're so great because we bought the special passes, park should love us for buying passes and not using them' review to me.
