  2. I think Push has finally lost the plot. The new slide announcement is the filler slide tower that WWW has needed and i'm so glad its here. Finally slides I won't need to use a tube for. Just because they are basic, doesn't mean they are bad.

  3. Push: Why do people keep complaining that I say stupid things? Also Push: Constantly posts stupid comments, continuing the beat the horse that was already dead and buried and has now completely decayed.

  4. Can everyone please watch these POVs of Mack triple launch coasters so you can understand how a triple launch works. You go fowards briskly, backwards even faster, then fowards at full speed. There wont be additional launch sections further on in the layout.

  7. Actually, this is when the slide has translucent rings in the fibreglass to create an interesting effect inside.

  10. Sky Voyager is now open at Dreamworld... so what's it like? Following eight months of delays, Sky Voyager opened today with little fanfare as guests got their first taste of Dreamworld's largest ride investment in two decades. Click here to continue reading

  11. It's a very neat addition for Dreamworld. If you go in knowing it's a cheaper soarin, then it's a wonderful ride. There are moments where the gondola is very shakey and jerky. The excess wind being blown in does cause the screen to blow around a bit sometimes and the smaller, awkward screen size is very apparent in certain seats. But overall, I did really enjoy it and can see myself re-riding it many times in the future. I could go a lot deeper into it but I'd rather let everyone else experience it for themselves and form their own opinions of what they like and don't like about the ride.

  12. Having never been on a similar ride I had no specific expectations, but I can now say Sky Voyager is my favourite ride in Australia! I won't spoil it by giving away too many details (I'll leave that for others), but yes it was well and truly worth the extensive wait!

  15. Time to start saving up for passes for both Dreamworld and Village parks. Rivals, Leviathan and a Mack launched coaster. The Gold Coast is going to have a good range of coasters now.

  16. There is no more relevant an IP than Looney Tunes. I would be absolutely pissed if that was ever to be overlooked. Happy to see a Lego ride (if licensing allows) or a Tom & Jerry attraction, but not at the expense of LT.

  17. Great review as always from the writers at Parkz!! Having ridden Soarin" at Epcot in 2017, I am certainly interested to see how this ride stacks up to it. This article certainly answers that question quite well, but the proof will be in the actual riding. Soarin' was a major highlight of our entire Orlando trip ( one of many!!) and this ride will have to be extremely good to be even mentioned in the same breath as Soarin'. The queue and pre-show sounds entirely frustrating though- why cant our parks get this right? The template in Disney and even Universal is right there- and whilst it would be churlish to expect that high a standard - surely we can get a decent facsimile that just works and doesnt' feel "clunky". Certainly looking forward to riding this in January 2020- I think that being such a unique ride and Australian first, that this will be a sure fire hit for Dreamworld. With today's announcement's of investment in a new coaster and expansion at White Water World, perhaps Dreamworld can finally step out of the long shadow of the TRR tragedy . Today is certainly a good day to be a Dreamworld fanboy and I am sure that Village is sitting up and taking notice-which will be a good thing for the GC and the industry. Given the already large investment of DC Rivals and the previously announced Seaworld Atlantis expansion, we can all hope that this is another major step into further investment and expansion for the industry and the parks on a scale the likes of which havent been seen since the early to mid 90's. Bring it on!!

  23. Yeah but if local pools are putting in these, anything is local pool quality these days. Anyhow, yay, bodyslides, the Whitewater Rapids slides at WnW are always popular.

  34. Found a photo of it and yeah, definitely looks like them building the new slide tower but an application has not appeared yet online as far as I can tell so hopefully it just delayed in appearing (though the photo was taken 20 days ago and construction seemed to have started well before then)? Otherwise...

  40. Wow Dreamworld Wow. I’m very impressed. Great to see they are investing this much money. Finally expanding WWW after all these years and one kick ass Coaster designed by a great company. Plus all the other changes and additions to come and really going to put the park back on its feet. And what great completion for VRTP. This expansion of WWW I really think will make the park the superior water park. And this new coaster and future additions really puts it back in competition with MW. It’s these kind of things that really make me want to spend the money and visit the park again

  43. Yeah you can make jokes nobody said you couldn't. But it's not a joke, you're literally just spamming the same shaded seating joke over and over . and it's too repetitive.
