Seems like a good fit for Blue Lagoon / Amphitheatre.5 points

Yeah I've ridden Blue Fire, it's one of my favourites, very fast paced, the inversions have a bit of kick, particularly the corkscrews, and feels very well rounded, with an even mix of airtime hills, turns and inversions. The real treat comes at the end with the barrel roll, it's not slow like the one on Green Lantern, it basically just belts through at full speed, crazy finale. I loved the station music too:4 points

Why does the park need an IP based attraction? Imo I want to see one of those water park simulator rides in Oz.3 points

Why should it be themed to gold rush? That was just the name of one of the old areas in Dreamworld, but there's plenty of other themes.2 points

What would you rather see featured on Dreamworlds model of Blue Fire as the last car or seats. Backwards seating similar to Rivals or A spinning car So somehow the post has ended up here and I’ve inserted a poll...2 points

Your sources sux. 😀 If you ask PCL Parkz have gone out on a limb like that time they turned up to a park in Melbourne and were shown the door.1 point

The Gold Rush theme was axed at least a couple of years ago!1 point
-
As mentioned previously, my money is on Dreamworld axing the Gold Rush theme altogether when the masterplan takes effect. With the two core attractions of that area now gone, that area is virtually dead. Gold Rush gets a new theme with the Blue Fire clone's addition with Buzzsaw either being removed or rethemed. Not only that, but keeping Gold Rush could possibly conjure up memories of the TRRR disaster and DW want to move as far away from that as possible. I could suggest integrating SV into the new area with an aviation theme. Theming the Blue Fire clone to WW2 era aviation would be a very unique and interesting concept in Australian theme parks if executed correctly. If they want to keep a general 1800s era theme, why not try one-up MW down the road and make it a Wild West area? Plenty of possibilities to give that area a new look. @Gold Coast Amusement Force , rocky hollow is a different part of the park to Gold Rush. Log Ride and Giant Drop are part of that area.1 point

I've learned a lot of things in my life. One of them is that nothing is published by Parkz directly unless it's been verified. If I were to speculate, i'd suggest some quietly leaked information or press releases, and clearly, judging by several responses here, its a pretty poorly kept secret...1 point

And that would make use of the path towards giant drop, really opening up the park more and giving more reason to visit the giant drop side of the park.1 point

well, that would certainly explain the sudden and unexpected demolition of the BB Studios...1 point

Hell yes!! This ride looks like a tonne of fun and a really smart choice for a Coaster DW! Not to mention it will give them the opportunity to quietly retire TOT, if that's the plan. I still wonder if the old Gold Rush site will be the location or could it be the former Thunderbolt /defunct Lazy River spot?1 point

Long-time lurker, first time poster (fair call if you take this with a grain of salt) - staff friends/family are on the ride as we speak putting the ride through it's paces (planned stoppages) for an imminent opening. I'd imagine the newish C-Suite want a firm date to announce at Ardent's Annual General Meeting on Friday.1 point

It’s times like this I say we need MORE regulation of what you’re allowed to build along the Broadwater for once. That shed looks like an eyesore.1 point

White, with just the very faintest hint of yellow that only people with red hair, between the ages of 17 and 19 might be able to see on days when the temperature is 26 - 27 degrees, and it's cloudy and very low humidity.0 points
